3. Deus Ex: Human Revolution.Isn't that futuristic version skyrim? along with it not being as meaty (never played skyrim it's my brothers game).
It's recent, I get it. God damn me to hell if I can't love this game, though. The reason I love this game so much is because of the atmosphere. You see, my friend gave me Fallout: New Vegas a few months back. I instantly got bored of the slowest beginning in the history of video games. I just couldn't engage myself in the apocalyptic atmosphere. I complained to him, calling it an "alternate-reality simulator" (just a fancy way of saying First-person RPG) that would be comparable to abandoning your real world for some boring second world. Do I regret returning it to him? Not really, but that's just me. Enter Deus Ex: Human Revolution. When I found myself interested just by the music that was playing while the game was installing on my PS3 slim, I knew I would be hooked. At no point in the entire game did I find myself disappointed. The boss battles weren't as annoying as I thought, considering I got advice on the game beforehand. Still, the amount of info and story poured into this game is mind-boggling. The level design, the characters, and the whole futuristic atmosphere was something that really intrigued me. When I saw a train travelling mid-air on a rail above, I instantly grinned. When I chose the option that made Adam Jensen say "I never asked for this", I giggled like a little schoolgirl. God damn, I can't find myself hating this game for any reason. Well, there's the graphics that look a bit outdated, but I guess that's because on a console. Alas, I looked at the game for what it was trying to say. The "augmentations" seen in this game could be an incredible symbol for the small technology we see in today's society. Expensive pieces of technology that could end up alienating us from who we are or who we care about, only to get sucked into this own world of ours where we get the illusion we're using our time well. Alas, technology shouldn't be used as an escape tool to get away from reality. It should be used as a great tool to improve our own reality.LOL DISREGARD THAT I JUST REMEMBERED WHAT AUGEMENTATIONS WERE FOR.
Anyways, there's the list. What do I win?
