I like Touhou and I'd probably like MLP too. I also think it's impressive that the fans have done a lot of cool stuff with it
My only beef with MLP (that isn't even directly related to the show itself) is with bronies since usually they're unsettling older men that try and turn mlp into some sort of "MEN CAN LIKE PINK TOO!!! I CAN WATCH THIS SHOW WITHOUT RISKING MY MASCULINITY!!
the famous "im not gay!!! just cus i like ponies DOES NOT mean im gay!! gross!!""-esque sorta thing. they also butcher the show with stuff like gross porn (like ok sure there's gross porn of everything but with bronies it's gotten to the point where kids may end up finding even if its just a simple google search of a character).
tl;dr i mainly dont have a beef with the show but only with a (specific) group of fans due to feeling uncomfortable towards them
touhou is cool but i sorta fell out of it mostly because i simply lost interest.
Simple or dumb games (and culture) will kill videogames and others, when i see how Iphone/Ipad games are showed in the TV advertising.....it's scaring.
Honestly, I don't really see why there's so much beef against mobile/casual games. They make money and aim at a much more widespread audience and generally tend to be a fun way to kill time and are usually a lot more accessible.
Like, ok yeah there's a ton of crappy mobile games out there, but there are the few
rare good ones (*coughcoughCOOKIE RUNcoughcough*) that don't send a million notifications and don't force you to constantly play on a daily basis or else you're punished for inactivity.
it's not fun returning to the sims 3 after 2 days and finding out my sims pooped and peed all over the place.
