I have no idea what you're saying, there isn't a "WIP Skins" thingy there at all

And, you do know, I MADE Splashy's skin for the core 8BDM (along with Concrete Man, Time Man, Buster Rod.G, and Mega Water.S)
The blue mugshot boarders on the image up there are supposed to represent skins that are inside the core game

The weapons look cool!

The only thing that bugs me is how half the MM3PC weapons do not have the correct colours. Blade Launcher, Shark Boomerang, and Oil Stream don't use those colours at all in the original game.

And, I can understand why the PC1 weapons have different colours, as they didn't even have colours to begin with in the original game

Not to mention, two Oil Mans, two Blade Mans, two Wave Mans, two Sonic Mans, two Shadow Mans, and two Doc Robots
Lava Man was also initially named Magma Man, but the dub of the OVA changed it to Lava Man or something

I know only the first 11 rows of Robot Masters (sans Bond Man) are canon. Doesn't change the fact that the rest of these guys are still official characters

(I have no idea what TIL means)

Mega Man Discussion / Re: Least Favorite Robot Master from Each Game
« on: August 24, 2016, 04:24:40 AM »
Hmm, least favourite Robot Masters?

Gameplay-wise, they are
MM1: Elec Man. Very hard to fight, thanks to Mega Man's weakness... Cut Man and Bomb Man are also difficult to fight in the Wily Wars version
MM2: All the bosses patterns are very predictable and are rather easy to fight. Though Quick Man, Bubble Man, and Wood Man are difficult in Wily Wars...
MM3: Needle Man is a pain to fight always. Shadow Man is annoying in the NES version because Top Spin is glitchy
MM4: Drill Man kinda sucks, he spends most of his time offscreen
MM5: I don't find any of the MM5 guys difficult to fight
MM6: I don't find many MM6 Robot Masters difficult to fight either
MM7: Shade Man. His attack pattern sucks. Literally
MM8: Sword Man. I can't seem to really 'get' his attack pattern. My fights with him usually involve me just shooting Water Balloons everywhere so that they might hit him
MM&B: Burner Man. He has a gazillion attacks and he can also sometimes just decide to be immune to his weakness
I haven't played MM9 or MM10 in ages, i forgot all the bosses haha
MMV: Mercury is hard to fight when using his weakness, and he usually gets one hit on me at the start of the battle, which, when during the rematch, could mean I have to say bye bye to my S Tank
MMI-IV: Ballade. He's the only unique boss from MMI-IV that I do not have a real strategy to fight. I just jump around like an idiot with Power Stone, haha
Wily Tower: Buster Rod. G. He deflects all my shots. On the plus side, his weaknesses can hit him when he's very vulnerable. Mega Water.S is also hard to fight without his weaknesses
RM&F2: Compass Man. I have not managed to beat him. He seems invincible to every attack. I'm gonna guess there's some MM2 Alien-type stuff going on here

As for Robot Masters I dislike purely because of design, the only ones I really dislike are "The Six" from the brazillian comic, and Big Man from the archie comic, because their designs just look really unappealing to me.

I just learned that each Robot Master stage theme in MM10 is done by each composer who did past Mega Man games

Most notably, Strike Man, Chill Man, and Blade Man were done by the MM7, MM8, and MM&B composers respectively

Though, listening to those themes, the percussion in Chill Man does remind me of MM8. And the general "feel" of Blade Man makes me think of MM&B, haha

Makes me appreciate the MM7, MM8, and MM&B remixes i found of those themes even more

Hmm, I tend to deal with stress (or negative emotions in general) by doing things I enjoy
Playing the video games, watching videos, listening to music, going for walks in forests and natural areas, and doing some spriting
even talking to people i know online or visiting IRL friends makes me feel better (despite my introverted personality, i do enjoy being with people i care about)

For some reason, Gyro Man's theme from MM5 is really good at relieving stress in me. I dunno why. I get a particular feeling when I listen to that tune that... most other musics don't give me

There's
124 Robot Masters in the CAPCOM produced games
31 unique Robot Masters in the licensed games
10 from Ariga's mangas
4 from other mangas
12 from the Brazillian comic
5 from the Dreamwave comic
2 from Captain N
1 from Ruby Spears
1 from the OVA
21 from the Archie comic
and also Bond Man
which equals 212
Mega Mini could be a 213th robot master..... but the new cartoon is an alternate universe so I'm not sure if its new characters would count
(Additionally, if one were to count the 100 Robot Masters that Terra smashes in Mega Man Gigamix, there would actually be 313 of them!)
(And I could have counted Comedy Chimp Man from the Archie comic, but he only exists inside Comedy Chimp's imagination)

Once I'm done a little project of mine, I'll have them all in a nice, Stage Select-esque image

It seems there was an interview with those Man of Action guys who are making that new Mega Man cartoon

I dunno, between saying all the Robot Masters that aren't Mega Man are "cynical jerks", to misnaming Air Man and Spark Man as "Fan Man" and "Shock Man", things aren't looking good (especially to people like me who love all 212 Robot Masters)

though they'll have more female robot masters, so that's good?

I was looking at some MM7 sprites when I noticed something
MM7 uses no less than four differently styled sets of Dr. Wily sprites during the game!

From left to right, there's in the UFO, in the Wily Machine, Wily on his own, and in the Wily Capsule
UFO Wily has super detailed hair that's also shaped similarly to his MM1 artwork. His skin also only uses two shades and an outline colour, wheras the other Wilys use three shades and an outline colour. UFO Wily's mustache is also "poofier" than the other Wilys
Machine Wily has a noticeably large forehead, making him seem somewhat off-model. His pupils are smaller than UFO and Capsule Wilys, and the same size as "normal" Wily. While not a lot of hair is visible, it seems to be less detailed than UFO Wily's. Machine Wily also has differently shaped ears than the other Wilys
"Normal" Wily is the one we all know. His hair is a bit more like how it's supposed to be in post-MM2 games, but still not quite the same as how it's depicted in artwork. His face is detailed somewhat similarly to UFO Wily, except with bigger eyes and a droopier mustache. Also with softer shading and no shininess on his forehead
Capsule Wily, I only included because his hair is the closest to the hairstyle that Wily has in all the game artwork. Additionally, he has some oddly large pupils when compared to the size of the rest of his eye

and that's all for a ridiculously long comparison of dr. wily sprites from a game that many people seemingly don't care about

Anything Goes / i want that cutman figure so much
« on: August 07, 2016, 06:54:54 PM »
Forum changes aside, more images of that cool-ass Cut Man figure were released

(click to show/hide)

Also, since he's in a double pack with Super Mega Man, one would think that maybe, you could swap heads and hands to have a Super Cut Man, like in Mega Man Gigamix....
(click to show/hide)
...and you'd be absolutely right!
They even included extra hands for Super Cut Man!

Wacky Changes!

forums completely different, i have to get used to a new laptop and operating system, things have changed a lot really suddenly for me and my online experience

ALSO that HTTPS thing doesn't apply to images embedded into topic posts.
if you look at my art or 8bdm skins topics, both have (now) fixed images, even though they use the same HTTPS links

Though hopefully the "non-functional images until you edit each post" thing will be fixed some time soon
