Anything Goes / Re: General Offtopic Discussion

Been wanting to play prophunt for a while now and when I finally do, it ends up being on a server with like 3 spectating props and a corrupt host spamming the chat and abusing rcon. Wish I knew how to host my own server...

Drama aside, I finally got around to cleaning up one of the major sources of dust in my room. Took me like six hours and I'm still not done but at the very least, my desire to breath has returned.

Hey guys there's currently a Mew event available on Gamestop until the 24th of this month but I can't pick one up for myself cause Gamestop is closing their shops all over the island due to financial reasons. So, could anyone find me one and PM it to me before the event is over?

Anything Goes / Cutstuff General PC Discussion
« on: October 18, 2015, 08:00:04 PM »
So a few days ago, I heard that there wasn't a topic like this in here and given my recent addiction to PC builds in general, I found that to be utter heresy.

So, I thought of making this topic for people to talk about things like future PC game releases like Star Wars Battlefront (which will be released this month), recently released games for PC, their current/future gaming rigs and anything related to PC gaming.

So I want my future gaming rig to have parts that will remain relevant and/or reliable as the years pass and games constantly evolve and become more demanding. Given that I may be on a budget depending on what job I find, I cannot go with something more expensive like say a LGA2011-V3 build or even LGA1151 so this is my current list of parts for the build.

CPU: Intel Core i7-4790k

Cooler: Corsair H100i

Motherboard: MSI Z97A GAMING 7 ATX LGA1150

Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-2400 Memory

Storage: Samsung 850 EVO-Series 500GB 2.5" Solid State Drive and a Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive for additional storage

GPU: EVGA Geforce GTX 980ti/GTX Titan X

Case: NZXT H440 (Black/Red) ATX Mid Tower Case

PSU: EVGA 850W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply

So with that aside, this is a enthusiast build with the final price ranging around $2000 with the peripherals included which I have not included here of course. For a monitor I want to go with a 1440p resolution monitor (probably a BENQ or Acer) which is where either GPU come in. I was thinking on going with a 980Ti given my possible limited amount of money but I heard recently that Star Wars Battlefront requires a Titan X to run in 1440p so that's why it's listed as an alternative here but to be honest, a Titan X is a huge turn off for me right now. As a final note, this build consumes 474 Watts (according to PCPartpicker) so if you're wondering why use a 850 Watt PSU it's because a PSU loses 10% of it's capacity each year and because I may overclock either the CPU and or GPU down the road and I want to make sure I have enough wattage so I don't fry all this expensive hardware.

Everything I know on the subject I learned from Linustechtips, NCIX Tech Tips, Techquickie, JayzTwoCents, Newegg TV, Paul's Hardware, CultOfMush, etc. If you want to build your first PC, Newegg TV has a two video tutorial on how to build one of your own from scratch (Both a Intel and AMD build respectively) with the first part covering the Hardware installation and tools required and the second covering the Software installation. If you want to know how everything works at a more in-depth level then Linustechtips, NCIX Tech Tips and Techquickie are the way to go. Lastly they're all youtubers so you can look them up there.

I need to borrow a Adamant Ditto preferably with 31 IVs in everything minus Special Attack if anyone has it.

Also, if anyone has a Gengarite code I need one too. I went to Gamestop to get it but they told me I have to reserve OR/AS (which, by the way, I am not because the code is supposed to be free in the first place) in order to get it.

EDIT: Got me a Gengarite on the PSS. SUCK IT GAMESTOP!

With that out of the way, a Tyranitarite would be nice now since I have no way of getting it otherwise.

The illegal filter prevents some, not all, pokemon from getting through.

It just counters illigal abilities and moves
lets be sure there wont be a wondertomb or anything

only perfect clean created pokemon can pass trough i tested this tho
pokedit pokegen cant maybe pass next gen but with a clean pokemon and pkmn bank its surely possible

Like Rozark said, they don't have to be necessarily perfect. I passed a few pokemon that were missing some of their data or had it wrong and they still passed through Pokebank such as Wish Chansey who I didn't know was an event pokemon by the time I made it. I also passed a Drizzle Politoed with it's Daycare data missing because I'm not about to trade any legendaries/Ubers for a stinkin' Swift Swim Poliwag. I can also use 'em for breeding purposes while I'm at it.

Baby Pokemon should be used as an excuse for more merchandise OR to slightly buff their evolution.

Kangaskhan is given a pre-evolution stage, and when that pokemon evolves, her Kangaskhan form will have higher stats than when Kanghaskan was just a one-off.

Kangaskhan doesn't need a buff, if it got one thanks to a pre-evolution we would have a problem as soon as sites like Pokedit make a downloader for X/Y in which case we would start to see Seismic Toss Mega Kangaskhan which means 200 damage all the time plus that buff you mentioned. Of course that is IF GF sees it fit though if it happened, I don't think that thing wouldn't be fit for Ubers considering it's mega form is already in that tier.

So, one code has been claimed. That leaves another code to be claimed, so anyone with Pokemon X, I don't mind giving you the code for the Mega Heracross. Also, no, i do not need your friend code for you to have the pokemon. It's a 25 charater code on a card, so i just need to PM you the code.

Well then hurry up, you said tomorrow was the last day right?

Also, this is the first time I see this thread so now that I know, I have a handful of pokemon up for trade which I will point out below in case anyone's interested.

1. Naive Froakie with Protean, Toxic Spikes and 31 IVs in everything bar HP.

2. Jolly Lapras with Hydration, Dragon Dance and 31 IVs in everything bar Special Attack. This is for a moveset called 'LapDance' found in Smogon so check it out (on the B/W sets) if you're still wondering how Dragon Dance would work on Lapras.

3. Naive Bagon with Dragon Dance, Sheer Force (which turns to Moxie when it evolves to Salamence) and a guaranteed 31 IVs in Attack, Special Attack and Speed. Any other 31 IVs that the pokemon may have are a plus since it's meant to be a sweeper.

4. Jolly Smeargle with Own Tempo and 31 IV Speed. The reason that this is it's only guaranteed 31 IV is simply because it has wet paper bag defenses anyway.

I know I pointed it out on my last post but just in case, my FC is 3583-0759-3003

Lastly, I'm also taking requests for other pokemon that are not on list so long as I have them like Poison Heal/Technician Shroomish with Egg Moves included.

To any Pokemon X and/or Y owners, I have 2 codes for mega heracross and mega pinsir. I originally got them from abroad for a friend of mine, but I might not be able to give them to him before the expiration date. You get the Heracross if you enter the code in X and you get the Pinsir if you enter the code in Y. It expires on the 17th, so if you want it, just post here which game you own and I will give you one. If you own both games, I dont mind giving both. If, however plans change and I will be able to see my friend though (highly unlikely) I will instead give the codes to him.

*Edit: I will treat one code as Heracross and one code as Pinsir. I will not be giving 2 seperate Heracrosses or Pinsirs to different people, but will give a Heracross and a Pinsir. Also, first person to post for either the Heracross and/or the Pinsir will get them.

Hey, I'm interested in the Pinsirite since I haven't been able to acquire one when it was released. I would prefer the Heracronite over it but I don't have pokemon X. If you can somehow give me the Heracronite instead, I would appreciate it but otherwise, just give me the Pinsirite.

EDIT: In case you need it, my FC is 3583-0759-3003

Those anyone happen to have a fourth gen Pokemon game? In any case I need a Pokemon with Pokerus so I can pass it on to my own and start EV training, now I know infecting them with Pokerus is not necessary to start EV training but I'd really appreciate if any of you could trade me one with it.

And since you're all geeking out about Super Metroid without telling me I figured I might as well point out a couple of things.

Firstly, you can get to the Wrecked Ship without the Grapple beam which I accidentally did on my first blind run cause I didn't know those blocks were for Grappling. Secondly, you can get to Lower Norfair without beating Draygon. The only thing you need is the Gravity Suit and when you get to the part when you need the Space Jump, press pause and just when the screen is about to go completely black, jump. Then turn off your gravity suit and unpause, this will provoke you to jump extremely high and all the way up to the right platform and into Lower Norfair. Third, like I pointed out before you don't need the Grapple Beam since you can either run and jump, wall jump or bomb jump (Like Alice said earlier), you also don't need the High Jump but if you don't get it you won't be able to do the early entrance to Lower Norfair due to lack of height. I've also thought of passing the game without acquiring most of the beams since they all work for fire power rather than anything else and the missiles can make up for it.
