wow i haven't been here in a while
so

For those who don't know, I downloaded Linux a while ago because Windows 7 was killing my laptop and could barely even run Chrome without shitting all over itself. I got the Linux ports of Zandronum and Doomseeker, and am able to play on 8BDM like before... Though there is a problem, that being the fact that my skins folder doesn't work.

I put in Rozark's taunt pack for all my Giga Drill Breaker needs (unless he's changed it) but for some reason it won't work. I hit taunt, I hear nothing. It kind of sucks.

I tried copying 8BDM and Zandro and stuff to my desktop, but the system tells me that it can't allow file paths to that location, so that's out of the question.

My Games folder, which is where all of my Zandro stuff is, is in the /usr directory, which is something that can't normally be written to, even if you're root. I have a feeling it has something to do either with that, or coding incompatibilities on 8BDM's end.

Any tips?

Linux is actually really, really lightweight compared to Windows 7, even when the latter is optimized for performance as opposed to aesthetics. While my computer is worn out and would have likely died had I kept using Windows, Linux is actually good for it as it doesn't use every available resource on bloatware and shit I don't want or need.

I really hope I get a better computer though.

my christmas break has also started

also a small update on shit going on with me:

- I downgraded to Linux because Ratchet (my computer) was starting to kick the bucket. While Ratchet is now a computer instead of a poptart, I'm stuck with a really bad OS that isn't compatible with anything. Alice lied, it's not good at all.
- I'm actually in school again. Go me.
- My life has been getting a lot better though I still couldn't give two shits about my mom.
- My grudge against cranberry juice is still strong.
- I run a clan called the Light Brigade, which has a grand total of three members including myself.
- My headset broke.
- I taped an Autobot sigil on the back of my computer.
- I went to a Protomen concert and got my hat signed by Turbo Lover, Panther and Reanimator. I also got to hug TL. He gives good hugs.
