Mega Man Discussion / Re: My opinion on the Mega Man series. Yours?
« on: June 25, 2017, 02:11:16 AM »
Classic: I love the classic series. Strangely enough I started with the black sheep of the family (MM7) and worked my around in a strange order (I think 2, 3, 1 , 5, 4, 6). People crapped on Mega Man 7 but I love it to death (and consdiering it was the first Mega Man game I played growing up says alot). I always enjoy this series for the controls and classic nostalgia.  I learned alot of what I did about the Mega Man Series in general from 2 and 3. I need to get my hands on 9 and 10 as I missed that ship. Thankfully a Second Mega Man Legacy Collection includes those.

X: This is were i spent most of my time. I loved the X series and put more time into and effort into this. Folks say this series was harder, but I found the classic series harder

Zero: I played this series when I was in my teen. Wasn't bad though It's lower on my list compared to the Classic series. The lore was definitely more instersting to me when compared to X or the classic series.

Legends: This is absolutely my favorite series. Not too sure why. Alot of RPG elements included as well as 3D done right. I will yearly go back and play Legends 1 and 2.

ZX: I thought ZX1 was great, ZXA disappointed me but I am not entirely sure why as the core mechanics for ZX and Zero series were there.  I guess the whole concept of "Mega Men" sounded too cheesy for me.

MM8BDM Discussion / Re: MM8BDM v5 save problem!

On a side note, if you can't get the command to work in game (I wasn't able to but in the past I was) you can go directly to the game's files (albiet a bit more tricky to do).

1. To do so, go to the game folder 8-bit Megaman Deathmach v5(b) > open zandronum-[playername].ini
2. Search for "mm8bdm_saveprogress" and change the value to whatever value you need from table that NES Boy provided.

In my case, my game had a seizure after I beat King a few days ago and sent me back to Mega Man 8 before the Duo Stage. My Ini entry was changed to look like this:

Code: [Select]
mm8bdm_saveprogress=1093

Mega Man Discussion / Re: Why I think Mega Man needs to move forward
« on: June 12, 2017, 05:25:16 AM »
I just want to see a new Mega Man Game period from Capcom; they have been just re-hasing things over and over again. I get it: it can get a new generation of gamers into the series, but it's not introducing something new. If they do release a "next gen" game, I would rather they release something that is 2.5D as they clearly showed they couldn't handle 3D games (Mega Man X7 is case and point) unless they can prove they learned something from that experience.

Hey all. Long time no see (as if it would matter who I am lol). I was going to make a post for a question.

In the Dark Robot fight since 4c was released I think I am encountering a bug where when he uses the ability where he spins and energy balls go everywhere as he spins, he never stops spinning. I remember fighting this boss before 4c was released and I did not encounter this problem. Further, watched a video from 2013 to see if maybe I am just loosing my mind, but the person who fought him did not encounter this. Any ideas what is causing this?

Mega Man Discussion / Re: New Album "We are Rock-Men 2"

Yeah I liked alot of the first album so I expect the 2nd to be just as good. I saw it on Amazon for 50 bucks though (Rockmen 1 not 2).

Probably Proto Man. I tend to be a loner but help out randomly.

If not that, probably Quick Man. Gotta go fast!

Mega Man Discussion / Re: Who's the best?

I thought Carbons and humans were the same thing?

The reason why I say this is because in MML2 in the very begging Sera will say something like "It's one of the Carbon's ships.".

Was playing Borderlands 2 Saturday night. Got to a point to where I had to pull a lever and wait for the elevator. Went to the edge of the platform as I was expecting it to come to the edge or come up from it. Was looking around like "Where is it (insert Duke Nukem voice there)?! " Comes straight down on top of me and kills me.

There's also Bandicam, but it has a 10 minute limit until you purchase the full version.

Good luck to you guys who are starting school. Not in school now, but I used to hate the whole people change thing more than the actual course work (mostly hard work got me through it all).
