Fun fact: I played Hardcore with the same seed back in 1.3 and resided in the Village. However, when I created a world with the same seed for this playthrough, the world was left the way I did it in 1.3.
To be specific, I used a good seed to play Hardcore in 1.3, resided in the Village and left some basic stuff.
When I updated to 1.4.2, I deleted the world and moved on to new stuff. Then I decided to play a Hardcore world. I planned to make a custom Superflat but loading was too long so I used the seed I mentioned. I went to the Village to abuse its resources. Then I saw a large house with many torches. I proceed to enter the house but it was blocked with dirt(I did it to protect myself from Zombies at night). I dug up the dirt and discovered a Crafting Table, Furnace and Chest inside the house like I left it in 1.3. I had a wierd feeling seeing my old world left intact despite being deleted. It happened to me once in a casual game in an older version. The Villagers are all dead now. What a pity...

I saw it in a video when looking for seeds with Villages near the spawn. I forgot the uploader's username.
