MM8BDM Discussion / Re: MM8BDM Funnies

Saxton Hale, Morshu on Bomb Man's stage, and it just happened to be Hillman.

Knowing that victory against Morshu would be almost impossible on this map, I decide to rush down Hilman with star crash.

Every single one of his bombs goes high and I manage to wind the round single-handed using 3-4 W-tanks worth of star crash.

Cue applause.

What's even better is that I managed to frag him again when he was the hale (ghost of starman) with the same weapon at the end of a later round.

Not too bad, probably because I dabbled in spriting for a bit once. Those dirty reds were the worst for me

Mega Man Discussion / Re: Favourite NetNavi counterpart?

I really like the outlandish designs that wouldn't be possible in the classic series, like Heatman.exe, Swordman.exe, Snakeman.exe and Planetman.exe (totally Astro Man's counterpart)

Some designs I really question though, especially pharaohman.exe. All his awesomeness is locked in a coffin!
Same with counterparts who were hardly changed, like Japanman YamatoMan.exe and Airman.exe

MM8BDM Discussion / Re: MM8BDM Best-Ever Servers

Anyone know where I can grab the Sharp v2A packet? From the Google search it looks like it's still being worked on.
Zandronum keeps crashing on one of the duel servers also, and I can't figure out why.
This is help and editing, right?

On topic, I'm wondering why there's no standard DM server.

More Touhou.... kind of

What boggles my mind is that these are all fanmade and are even more amazing then the songs from the actual games.

Help & Editing / Re: "health left" script

Thanks, the scripts work fine.
I couldn't figure out chat macros, but I did learn how to bind what I wanted to the number keys. Case closed

Geminiman.exe could be really neat, imagine the potential for the story and in battle.
I'd be really interested in the design of Pirateman.exe though

A friend of mine once asked me how cool it would be if they remade all the Megaman games, but in 3D with shooter-style gameplay. I can't believe I'm seeing a possible first step to this epic dream!

Probably the worst introduction to Mario ever, but I got advance 2 (Super Mario World) soon afterwards, so it was all good.

Anything Goes / Re: Llama's Music Who Nobody Likes (Scorching Back)

Only really good? It's freaking Cave Story Music, which is next to Megaman tunes in my book.

One thing Cave Story was great at was expressing atmosphere and mood, and this song conveys a sense of despair while still seeming urgent, and then turns hopeful in the second half.

General Gaming Discussion / Re: osu! - rhythm is just a *click* away!
« on: December 25, 2012, 06:36:01 AM »
Man, what are the odds of my other addiction besides MM8BDM having a thread?

I'm an average standard player I guess, and I picked up the game rather quickly. I mainly like playing just to be exposed to the  variety of music available, but also to improve skill-wise (hopefully). I still think some of the highest difficulties are impossible, but that's coming from a mouse user. Good job frightening any new recruits off with one of the hardest beatmaps ever for standard osu mode by the way.

And for the record, Osu! is based off of the Ouendan series of games released in Japan. Elite Beat Agents is the Western spin-off of that series.

Help & Editing / "health left" script
« on: December 25, 2012, 06:17:12 AM »
This may not be the right place to ask this, but I couldn't find it anywhere else.

Does anyone know that chat script/sequence thing that states your remaining health level as a number? I've seen some people use it taunts like tailsmk's "rings left: 56." I'd be interested in possibly doing it myself now that I know how chat macros work.

Anything Goes / Re: New to Cutstuff? Post here.
« on: December 24, 2012, 06:57:36 AM »
Oh dear, it seems I've been posting in other places and actually doing things before introducing myself.

I heard about this game from a let's player that I followed when it first came out (PinkKittyRose). I played for a while, but felt I wasn't getting the full experience because I didn't know how to mess with the options and stop chronic crashes, among other things. So I went on hiatus for a year or so randomly, and now that I've fixed those problems (OpenGl ftw) I feel like a better player ready to take on the world!
So then I run into the MM7 (and now MM8) update and tons of community stuff that was released behind my back, so I'm honestly feeling out of the loop and the community that provided it. Given time, however, I'm sure to become a steadfast member of this game and forum.
