Maybe the clue for the answer is in the name of the gate.

Here's my guess(apologies to future posts because if this is right, the game will cut short):
The gate will only allow anything with at least one E in it.

Like the name Great Steel Gate.
(Example from my first try)When my Mob Battalion were riding an iron horse through the gate, Wolf and Snowman(actually Snow Golem) were not allowed and they lack any E's, while the rest of the Battalion have at least one.

I thought there needed to be at least 2 E's in the entire name at first, which would make sense because Beed28, Colonel Servbot, LeoAlex, Mister Rogers. But then again there were the Wonder Twins, Frank West, Simon Belmont. So i think you cracked it.

In that case,I'll try to pull Hilman-One-Seven-four-Zero-Ninety Nine through the gate

I'ma throw in Blur through the door with Cliffjumper. Even though Blur died in Transformers Animated and got turned into a cube. He might have been fixed
