Here, have at you. Mush-MM2GB v1

This little .rar contains 3 revised tracks from Mega Man II by yours truly:

Metal Man Stage
Air Man Stage
Wood Man Stage

All links to the individual downloads for these tracks should not work, as I deleted them from my mediafire folder. I'll get around to make the all those posts to redirect to the .rar file.

Also, v1? Does that mean...

EDIT: Also forgot to mention these tracks are in .wav format, so no need to have Famitracker to hear them. They're also Skulltagloop-friendly! :D

I've always thought Proto Man has a flaw in his AI programming (you know, being an incomplete prototype and all) that allows him to think and do stuff normal robots can't do. I guess this explains his repulsive behavior towards Light and Wily.

Also, unless you find an explanation as to exactly how Megaman managed to break the Three Laws of Robotics, I refuse to acknowledge any of this.
"I am more than a robot!  Die, Wily!"
I think that's good enough.

THIS HAPPENS ALL THE TIME.

From wikia:

Quote
Although it is stated that Mega Man was in doubt whether or not he should kill Wily, Mega Man actually wanted to kill Wily in the English version of the game. But, he did hesitate at the end, having Bass and Treble to rescue Wily. Some fans thought the English ending gave Mega Man more of a serious action-like feel to him, since he is known as a pacifist, but other fans felt it was not in Mega Man's character and it lead to an unexplainable ending that was the first cliff hanger in the series. Also, in the Japanese version when Dr. Wily reminds him that robots cannot harm humans, Mega Man pauses and doesn't say anything, rather than saying that he's "more than a robot", like in the English version.

Classic-era robots cannot kill humans unless someone (in Classic's case, Wily) bypasses Asimov's Laws programmed inside the Mechaniloid's electronic brain. Robots by themselves can't kill a human on purpose.

EDIT: Plus, Mega Man never broke the Three Laws in MM7. He did not kill Wily. Even if he intented to, he hesitated (the laws in action).

Plus plus, such lines were not spoken in the japanese version.

The reference made in MM3 of Proto Man being Mega Man's brother is non-existent in the japanese version.

???????0?????

????????????????????????????????

Translated to:

Number 000 Blues

A prototype robot. There was a power circuitry interruption [short-circuit?] just prior to when he went missing.

American script:

No. 000 Proto Man

New robot prototype, brother of Megaman

The Japanese version notes how Rockman and Roll are "like siblings," but says nothing about a similar relationship between Rockman and Blues. Conversely, the English release says outright that Mega Man and Protoman are brothers, but has no indication that Mega Man and Roll are considered siblings.

According to Japanese canon, Mega Man does not know Proto Man is his brother. No one else besides Proto Man himself knows, except Light and (perhaps) Wily. The audience knows Proto Man is Mega Man' brother, but not Mega Man himself. In MM7, the "let's see which one of us Father made superior" line was absent in the japanese version and added in the american translation, and Mega Man knowing his relationship with Proto Man is considered not-canon.

Also, according to the japanese canon, Wily never worked with Light prior to MM3. They were just rivals. This is a misconception that dates from MM1's westernized story.

There's a lot of americanized translations/misconceptions like this that are considered canon in the US, but aren't in Japan (and thus, shouldn't be canon anywhere). Unless you want to go the same road Street Fighter fans went with the Balrog/Vega/M.Bison issue in SF2...

For Ivory and his IX-Pack's IDM03 map. AND FOR GREAT JUSTICE!? Mega Man II - Air Man Stage (Famitracker cover)

To fire this little bad boy, you will need FAMITRACKER. Just unzip it, and then double-click the .ftm file.

No mandatory credits. Use it, hold it, take it out to dinner.

NOW SCRAM!

EDIT: For a .wav file, you need to open the .ftm, then File>Create WAV...>Repeat only 1 time(s). It's even Skulltagloop-friendly!

EDIT2MUSASHINONAZO: I have redirected the link to a .rar pack consisting of three MM2GB songs, all in .wav format. You don't need Famitracker to hear them now, but you can still download Famitracker if you want.
