However...

Why is Toad very excited (with his legs showing)?

Well, it's because skins of both him and his buddy Toadette are ready to go!
Perfect.

Toad Day is about a month from now.

I can see it now...

Servers full of people using your Toad skin, and the Toad Man skin; hand-in-hand, using Ukiweps.

Welcome, Mr. Yatterhog.

May you enjoy your (hopefully rather long) stay here at Cutstuff.

General Gaming Discussion / Re: Favorite Gaming Console? (Revival)
« on: July 06, 2014, 12:20:12 AM »
Well I chose the SNES.
It had lots of pretty good games during its lifetime.

Such as, but not limited to:

- Earthbound
- Super Mario World
- Mega Man X
- Chrono Trigger
- Super Metroid
- LoZ: A Link to the Past

It counts if I've used an emulator of it before, right?

Anything Goes / Re: The UNOFFICAL Weird Dreams Thread.

I've had quite a few of these recently.

I.

II.

IV.

The odd thing that sticks out was that the landscapes in my dreams all feel so real, and that my other dreams seem to have allusions to previous dreams, further expanding the imaginary geography of this fictional city.

Also, they involve transportation like buses and trains; and me walking around, exploring the city, trying to find a way home, sometimes.

At one point, when I was around 10-12; I kept having dreams about my old laptop being destroyed or corrupted in different ways and I always woke up due to the panic. Eventually that old second-hand thing did die out. It was always broken and corrupted during its lifetime with me anyway.

Must be the impulse of wanting to post a lot as a result of my getting used to the subculture of the Newgrounds BBS. Seriously, that place is full of shitposters and spammers; but that's alright, since the mods on that place don't even give a damn about it all.

So what if the "View New Posts" list has my name plastered on a few threads in succession every now and then?

I like giving out my thoughts on things, and responding to people; as well as trying to help those in need.
Nothing wrong with that.

Unless of course I force it upon you guys, and spam it to kingdom come, which I don't.
And that 'posting opinion twice' thing happened one time; jesus christ you guys gotta get over it.
I seriously and wholeheartedly promise not to repeat it.

I just kind of want everyone to move on from this and I guess we can start to be a reunited community again.
You're saying that as if the community imploded into itself over a little forum post.
Knowing most of Cutstuff and their "drama" issues... that's actually not too far-fetched of an idea.

Anyway I think that incident has run its course.
Something that puzzles me is that no mod or admin hounded me for it, just you guys.

So...

how's everybody doing?

Good?

Well, that was quite a humorous comic.

he seemed to have forgotten that he already said that.
I couldn't have forgotten.
It was a post after the initial, displaying almost the same idea.
But I tried fixing it anyway.

I assumed the 2nd statement could be an extra post just to act as an attachment to the initial post.
Could've just used the edit button and avoided all this hullabaloo over one thing that they're nitpicking me about.

I sometimes forget that I've done things too, and I go to do them again until I remember!
I brushed my teeth twice once; so that's something.

And is there a problem with posting one's opinion on many things at once? I've seen people do it, and heck, I'VE done things like that some times, and not many people complained, so why jump down this guy's throat? Is it because he hasn't been around as long as most of us had, or something?
I think they think I'm doing it for attention and a higher post count.

Quote from: "Geno"
(I just hope no one leaves because of this. I really don't like it when people leave over an argument. Always makes me sad. Even if I don't even know the person who goes)
I ain't going nowhere. It's stupid to walk away from such a nice community over a little misunderstanding.

Well, I hope we all just patch things up on this ridiculous little incident.

Anyway, do you guys even know which post they're putting me on a grill for?
This is the topic with the posts in question.
I think even some of the folks who are mad at me don't even know the post in question.
Highly unlikely, though.

Help & Editing / Re: Where to start?
« on: July 05, 2014, 01:26:00 AM »
I see.

Well, MM8BDM uses Slade3 (to modify game files and code) and Doom Builder 2 (to make maps); as well as a few other tools like Paint.NET and Audacity in order to create sprites and for some audio.

I think you guys should watch some tutorials, go to other Doom forums for advanced help and the like.

The best place to start is to look at the core 8BDM and Doom maps, see their traits and learn tricks from how they're built.

The ZDoom forums and Doomworld might give you guys some advice and help as well as extra assistance, even.

MSPaint? I've tried using it for pixel art, but it's such a pain to work with.
Indeed it is a bit of a pain to work with.

But I think we underestimate MS Paint too much.
I'd say the version included in Vista onwards is an alright tool when making pixel art, it even has a grid.

Most of the playerbase is situated in NA from what it seems.
Indeed.

Although there are some players that have revealed they're from France; some from the UK; some from Canada; China; Russia; Sweden; Japan; Mexico; the Philippines and so on...
France, UK and Canada have a good chunk of the playerbase, too.

But, those are only some players we know; the ones that registered on the forums and the ones with known names on the servers. There could be others out there who only play Single Player mode, as well as LAN Party, but never on the public servers.

There's no telling how big our total playerbase is, and where those unaccounted players are from; unless they reveal themselves to us, by joining the forums or public servers and changing their name from the default 'player' placeholder, etc.

I'd say we're a fairly international game.

Is this still posting the same idea over and over, mate?
Do I need to ask again, before interjecting myself into the conversation, Bikdark?
I'm so sorry that I've offended my masters yet again.

But isn't the entire point of a public web forum about giving people the ability to join into any discussion and give their 2 cents on anything they're talking about as long as it makes sense with the context of the discussion?
You've taken this to the logical extreme by reposting opinions that you posted mere hours ago.  That's obnoxious and practically a bid for attention.

Hey, man.

That was one time.

I realized my mistake and I tried to fix it as much as I could, but apparently it only added to the situation. Forgive me, it was around 11-1AM when I did that stuff; my thoughts were sort of cloudy and I was kind of tired from what we did during the day.

Sheesh.
