Skins & Bots etc / Namo's Addons
« on: July 13, 2010, 09:01:34 PM »
Working on:

Barrel Casket
Roll Casket
Tron Bonne
Generic Servbot

Maybe:

Teisel Bonne
Sera

All characters are from Megaman Legends

EDIT:  Some Progress

Behold, Barrel Casket.  I'd have more done but I had to make dinner and stuff.  He's just a smidgeon taller than Megaman.  He also may take awhile because he's haunched over and that might be a bit tough to rotate.

^Agree

I think I might start working on some other Megaman Legends characters.  Who wouldn't want to play as Roll and Barrel Casket?

in after inb4

Also if /v/ complains about it being a rehash, they're retards.  Its not like CutmanMike threw a bunch of premade Megaman sprites with full rotations and a bunch of premade maps.

I usually just join whatever team has fewer people.

No problem pal.  Trust me after the first time you forward and open a port, it's pretty much a cakewalk each consecutive time.  Good luck with it

I'd love to have a MegaMan Volnutt commissioned soon. Make sure he has no helmet if he's next. Just use regular art for ref.

I'm not a fan of the MM10 art, myself, but it's nice for what it is.

Yeah, you have no idea what an inconvenience that can come to be.

It seems pretty pointless to sign your post with your name if we can clearly see your username.

To open a port, you have to go through several steps.  The first and easiest is to go to the control panel, and open up windows Firewall.  Click on "Add Port" on the exceptions page.  Type in 10666 as the port.

The second step is annoying and a bit aggravating if you haven't done it before.  Go to http://portforward.com/ and find the name of your router, and follow the steps it gives you.

After that, when you are actually hosting, make sure you give them the right IP address or they won't be able to connect.  Give them the one you see here:
http://www.whatismyip.com/ .  If it doesn't work, try adding a one in front of it (ie 98.xx.xx.xx becomes 198.xx.xx.xx), and if it still doesn't work, go through all the steps again.

Also, certain ISP's (internet service providers) don't let you forward ports on your own.  If you have one of these ISP's, you may have to call them.  For example, my ISP is Cavalier Telephone, and they don't let you forward ports on your own, so whenever I want a new port forwarded and opened, I have to call them and ask them to do it.
