I've gotten fencing down nearly flawlessly and I still can't hit below 23.

Atomic Dog is way too difficult, and I can't platform on the torches for the life of me. I think I might have to sit out the medals on this one... Unless I can put my fencing talents to another use?  :?

What exactly is this "Atomic Dog" and the "fencing"?
I suppose fencing is the sliding of a rail without triggering a loss?

Well, i might as well join :L

I think OC18 should have the "almost every item in possession to win"-rule, the map is way to easy without those.
Also, i wanna nominate OC29 as an added map.

1.The thing with the mega buster is that it feels a bit random how much dmg it does (because walking direction of target, speed, angle etc.)
That's why i think a simple direct hit would suit it better.
"To an extend" in the sense of final boss hit?

2. Does he have a hug effect? I'm not sure, but if he doesn't, that could be an idea.
He may be another heavy class if armor is buffed in combination with the leaf shield.

3. I do like the way the altfire works, but it really feels awkward to use it.
His armor may be buffed a bit while using it, but he stays still, making him a pretty easy target.
But im fine with that, if the mercury-blob itself dealt even a little bit of dmg, that actually would also make him more faithful to his MMV-Battle, and increase his survivabilty as well.
This of course should have a much longer cooldown, everything else a about Mercury is fine to me.

4. By "quick-landing" i mean a stop in midair, not a quick rush downward like YD-Quint.
To be honest, i kinda wrote it stupidly, so, i mean an "air break" for quint to stop the motion forward.
It's just an idea tho, and it really doesnt sounds that good, but i think Quint should have good control over a medium-small ground area,
and not be able to chase someone until they want to kick you and call you names D:
But yeah, basically: less range, but better sakugarne control.

5. Yup, i know that, like i said, doesn't need to be a bad thing.
Its just feels weird to aim with that extra angle.

6. The only shield that kinda worked for me is the alt-attack from knightman.
Getting all shields fixed really is neccesary.

7. Fire Man, Turbo Man and Spark man, all three from primary fire. (Spark's charge shot)

Oh, and one last thig: Coldmans HUD. It really blocks the view.

MM8BDM Discussion / Re: "Domination" Game Mode?
« on: March 15, 2015, 09:45:38 PM »
I think it would be best suited for already existing Deathmatch maps as well.
However on the scale of "bigger map = more points; points are more apart".
I tried some domination maps recently and apparently a special sector needs to be creats so people could join a team.
Guess you cant just join and pick a team as you spec.

Quite frankly, i'm okay with Crashman, tho i came across some other issues other then the ripping/hiitstun (the worst one i encountered is Clownman, BRG's ripping item is also quite annoying)

First off, still on ripping: Why is the MegaBuster a ripping projectile?
You actually have hit pretty much in the center of an enemy for it to deal decent dmg, but thats another thing.

So, here are some complaints/suggestion/things i don't think are good for the mod :

Woodman: Well, i guess we all know that problem.  Godmode seems a bit too much just for having leafshield out, how about a simple armor buff or make the shield destroyable?

Mercury: I do like this class, however, the alt should receive a change in my opinion.
Make mercury in blob-state a small damaging ripper kinda like pluto for example, and make the cooldown last a bit longer in exchange.
Another thing would be the drops themselves: launching them straight instead of a spread alone would make his alt more useful.
Then again, Mercury isnt really about damage, so yeah.

Quint: I heard alot of complaints and controversies about this one.
And i can understand it. To a certain bit that is.
The sakugarne maybe should'nt thrust forward in the air as much as it does now, and that could be balanced by some kind of "quick-landing" move when alt is pressed.

Overall aiming issue on some classes: This isnt neccesarely bad, it's just an odd design choice: Some projectiles dont go exactly where the crosshair is (f.e. Mars' Photon Missile). Like i said, this doesnt have to be a bad thing.

Broken shields: Pretty much every shield feels like it works when it wants to.
Tho i think this has been discussed already (and is going to be fixed)

I think i can tolerate a bit more of the hitstun by now.
But that doesn't change the fact that i have to address the big hitboxes on some of the attack.
The biggest thread being Pharaoh Wave.
Is the hitbox actually bigger than the actual projectile?
I could be wrong, but oh well :L

So yeah, those are some few things that simply bugged me recently while playing.
Though i like the mod, it's just some things that annoy me and i'm sure most of the people, which maybe not listed here.

Oh yeah: What's so terrible about Venus?

MM8BDM Discussion / "Domination" Game Mode?
« on: March 12, 2015, 01:30:19 PM »
I recently read something about a gamemode called "Domination" on the wiki, and i asked myself, if that
would ever get into the vanilla-game of MM8BDM.

It's basically some sort of King-of-the-hill-with-multiple-capture-points-and-gained-score-every-3-seconds-for-each-point,
but i am sure most (or everyone) knew that.  :)

Also, sorry if this is set in the wrong topic, i don't know where else to post this :L

Of course no one forces you, but more racers would be cool :P

My opinions to Lobsters map suggestions:

OC07:

I can see why only one path, but at the same time not.
I'd say hard path only, simply because you jump more :L

OC09:

Both seem okay, tho maybe saku only would be the better way to go. MAYBE. Since MegaBall and Tornado Hold are not really that different to be honest. Of course, dropping saku should no be allowed.

OC10:

Map is quite long, then again, its a simple map.
I would'nt ban it, but maybe change the rules for this one, aka have 3 lives for a single run.

OC14:

We could enable sv_nomonsters maybe? But that would defeat the map itself, so... yeah, better ban.

OC16:

Agreed.

OC17:

This one is fine, the stopwatch starts as soon as the racer crosses over the start line, so they can line themself up.

OC18:

We actually did a test run on this map and it works quite fine. Mandatory items are: MegaBall, Thunderclaw, Blue Floppy and White Disk, Sakugarne, Oil Slider. With all those items collected my time is 1:36-1:37.

OC21:

Agree to that as well.

OC22:

Same.

OC24:

And again i agree with that.

OC27:

I would actually be fine with racing this map.
Not sure if it should be banned or not, its quite long, and one of the "fan-fiend"-jumps really feels like it depends on luck.

OC28 and OC28Z:

K.

OC29:

I DEFEND BLOSSOMS!
It really is a doable map, even with the last jump at the end.

OC30:
Yup, once again agreed.

OC32:

It really isnt good for racing.
Doesn't even have many jump parts.

OC33:

Short, simple... well, too simple, and not really fun to race.

OC34:

Would be completely fine when the map is "reset" after each race, so you can actually get past all blocks in the starting area.
Fine map otherwise.

OC35:

Who doesn't get salty from that segment?

OC37:

It's a fine map for racing, agreed.

OC38:
It certainly more fun to race then OC32, but its still just a "remember stuff, go there then there, do this with that"-kinda szenario.

OC39:

This map. This. Map...

OC40:

Quite frankly: YES, YES, YES , YES, YES, YES!
Well, aside from the "less then 10 seconds to win"-trick.

OC42:

I'd be fine with this one.

OC43:

One of my favourite maps tbh :L
BUT. I can't avoid to say: It isn't that great to race. Aside from the fact that the map is basically over after a certain time (no more death possibilities).

Now secret maps.

OCEX01:

This one should be allowed, it really is easy and even kinda fun to race.

OCEX02:

Great racing map.

OCEX03:

Nothing to complain here.

OCEX04:

Quickbeams: Doable
Lasers: Very easy
Gemini Lasers: Ehm, how to dodge the first one?

OCEX05:

Welp, guess that hit the spot.

OCEX06:

BEST MAP to race, totally allow this one!

OCEX07:

Meh, i dont really know if yes or no.

OCEX08:

Eh.

OCEX09:

I hardly ever played this map tbh :I
Maybe... 2 times?

True, but some maps ought to be banned due to difficulty/RNG factor. While I love every OC map in general, there are just some that aren't suited for tournaments. These include OC39, OC22, OC43, and all secret maps (and maybe TUTORIAL). Though with that being said, if we're going to do every map, does that mean we should go ahead and get our best times for each map?

RNG?

Yes, i agree with the list for the most part (some secret maps are fine), but dont forgot OC06, its the same deal as OC22.
I'd guess we just need the host (Skully) to stopwatch the time of each of us and post it.
Idk how to make the best of it.

And another rule-related thing: I think every map needs to be played, not a random one each time.

Reason being that we do need to have the time of each racer (or just the single best time) of each map, the order can be random, but
each map should be played once.

Well, that is except for OC06 and the "devil eye enemies with switches and devileye-boss" -map, it just doesnt really work, and having only a single life is terrible for that as well.
Also, in OC06 you WILL run into serious ammo issues, and since ammo drops are random, its even worse.
