Everyone is going to play as Roll.  There are plenty of people out there who would love to see Roll blast Bass.

That place sure looks...fragile.  And there are crash bombs?  The place will fall out of orbit!

Nice work yet again.  That one was sure done fast!
There are 7 players on that map?!  I can see 3, maaaaaybe 4.  Your character, Air Man, and Dust Man...and there's someone way on the other side of the map, I think.  And Rush Jet is flying around.

Short and sweet.  I must have watched it 20 times already!  Love the way Wily's MM3 stage looks.

About half way through Dust Man's right now. Then I'll be doing Ring Man, which should be easy to do because I have a SWELL idea for that one, then Skull Man and finally Cossak Citadel. That clears Mega Man 4, then I can move on to 5 and 6's maps. During that time I hope to have all the skins done, then I have to figure out how to program my own launcher app (which should be interesting, at least for me) and then uhhh.... We're done!

Oh...is that all?

Texas is just below the state I live in...but it's still a long drive.  Hopefully some gameplay videos will surface from the event.

Thought as much.  Ah well.  Still pretty sweet.  I guess a bunch of stages will have enemies in them.  Bright Man's does at least.

Cutman... please tell me they only look alike in that screenshot and not ingame.

I see what he's getting at.  It is to be expected when one person is in charge of designing so many separate spaces that you see some recurring ideas appear.  I'm in the practice of landscape design.  It happens a lot when you don't get a lot of outside input.

Hey, CutmanMike, ever consider doing a stage design charette for a few stages?  Get a bunch of people together and have them toss their ideas your way (preferably graphically).  They might give you some ideas you'd never have thought of.

It'll take a little getting used to, but it is easier on the eyes.  What stage is that in the banner?  A Wily stage?

That's a Bright Man stage enemy...but is that a stage gimmick for his stage where the lights go out?!

I still dont know how centaur man's, flash man's, gravity man's, bright man's...ect..........would work in MM8BDM.....
They're explained on the weapons page: http://cutstuff.net/blog/?page_id=1909

Quote
Time Stopper is a defensive weapon that freezes time temporarily. During the freeze you cannot fire or change weapon, so it’s best to escape and grab items while you can. The energy drains quickly but weapon energy items can be picked up to increase the duration a little. When the weapon runs completely dry, the weapon breaks and you revert back to the Mega Buster. Because of it’s time freezing power, this weapon respawns like regular items.
Freezes everyone but the user.
Quote
Flash Stopper was almost identical to the Time Stopper in Mega Man 4. To keep things original, the Flash Stopper in this game blinds your opponents for a few seconds if you activate it near them.
Blinds enemies.
Quote
Gravity Hold
In Mega Man 5 this weapon caused all enemies to fly off the screen, killing them instantly. In MM8BDM this weapon damages all players around you and flings them sky high. It uses a lot of ammo though so it should be used as a last resort or to finish players off. It can also be used to send players flying into pits or spikes, making them lose frags!
Damage and sends people flying.
Quote
Centaur Flash damages anything near you in a large radius, and can be used repeatedly before running out of ammo. It doesn’t do too much damage, but used over and over can slowly wear down your enemies. It also reflects projectiles away from you if you activate it at the right moment.
AoE damage and reflector.
