General Gaming Discussion / Re: Bosses that Creep you out
« on: March 26, 2011, 11:29:33 PM »

Shin Megami Tensei normally has a lot of Unique designs for these mythological demons. Aciel, though not at all scary, is on my list of freaky/creepy bosses that I've fought. First you think it's just some head under the floor, until it pops up to munch on you. Also look at it's freaking mouth? Could you imagine just seeing that come after you? Or even imagining how this guy looks if he fully came out of the floor? I wouldn't either. Lets not forget those blood red eyes just scanning the room and even looking at you.

There is another demon similar to Aciel but it has a green scalp and small angel wings on top of it... well you'd think it was a turtle until...

Another one from this series would be Noah

Now at first it just looks like a floating hornless rhino, course once you get it towards it's second Phase... Yeah... like something out of a horror movie. Scary? Nah... but just plain weird

Mega Man Discussion / Re: Music from the hacks of Mega Man

The only tunes recognize apart from MM are the Super Mario Bros. tracks--I do not own many NES games.  It's actually more likely I'll recognize none.

Gotta play or check out more games then mortal, lot of good music out there. From what I just remember, one track is From NamcoXCapcom, another from I believe is from one of the touhou games, and maybe even castlevania.

((BTW if I was wrong here just correct me, but I think I remember two of the three I listed here are correct...))

I, for one, have never played any hacks or listened to much of their music--in fact, community, pick for me.  Rockman 4 MI, or Rockman no Constancy?

Rockman no Constancy by a long shot. It's really one of the very few fan made Mega Man games that gives the player a challenge in the right of ways, done correctly. And their 8-bit music is freaking great ((listen carefully and you'll recognize them from other games)).

omnizoa all im saying is that noobs steal kills because it depends on who gets the last hit on the enemy gets the frag

And what are you going to do about that? You'll get players who happen do do those kinds of things, it happens in every shooter, every fighter, etc. Complaining doesn't help, calling people "NOOBs" doesn't help either.

If you want to avoid this in the future, make a server, invite your friends who won't kill steal, then have a blast with your set standards. [/thread] now?

In some way MM8BDM related?
Close enough...

In anyway discussing about the game INSTEAD of pointless events occurring in-game about kill steals, trolls, and ((once again)) "x" weapon is OP?

No where close...
================

But seriously, we prefer that drama stays out of these forums along with immaturity please? We don't need to see an OP writing about his bad day in a freaking game only because a kill was taken or weapon spam occurred.

Considering that the servers only have a good CTF or deathmatch server once in a blue moon, I can't say much about the community in-game. Though I will say the overwhelming Robonenza servers did kill my activity to the point that I didn't bother playing. Even now I not surprise that there's usually one or two active MM8BDM servers, though it seems it's slowly regenerating activity, so I guess you can see me more often ((That and I can actually have the motivation to Finish "Tengu Man" again  ))
Well anyway thats a different story and drama so digressing... My feeling about the community? I love the community, but even I'm alert to whatever shadows it contains around the corners so your typical harasser and killjoy is just expected. Not to say I tolerate the crap but the only thing you can do is either ban the guy(s) or secure the hell out of your server

But what really perplexed me was when the OP said the community is getting more "competitive" and I'm like:

...well alright, not entirely in that context but just the "competitive" part is what gave me the LOLWUT reaction. I mean I know at times we got competitive for the fun of it ((nothing serious or anything)) but now it's inducing bad behavior? I think some kids need a timeout.

Ah yes, I remember getting a personal message like that.

Random girl who wants me to join a random TF2 steam group? Uh, No.

Yeah thats the person alright. Guess you could say it was about time that I would be baptized regarding hijacked accounts and all lol. Not that this is a good thing either

General Gaming Discussion / Regarding Steam and the 8BDM Group
« on: March 11, 2011, 08:39:32 PM »
Awhile back, me and squidgy apparently got an "unwelcomed" visitor on our accounts who was apart of the MM8BDM steam group. First  appearing as a regular steam member then to our surprise, advertising a forged steam group for TF2 on our accounts, giving us problems with either accessing them or logging off. Normally the messages would look like this and have this kind of reply...

This happened to Squidgy as "he" sent me the same message. Now a week later after this, it appears that my account was disabled, though was functioning normally yesterday. So I'm just wondering if this has happened to anyone within the group and had the same problem. :|

Personally I respect you for just coming out and sharing what your interested in and whatnot, though at the same time it feels like your advertising your work and this other guy's site ((and it should be kinda clear that boards like this don't approve of advertisements nor even adult content for that matter, unless there is some exception involved.))

But hey, I ain't bashing your work or anything, but if you want to share your art, just mind what we approve and what we don't. Oh and we have some topics to share art btw...

I take it you need an Emulator for this right? Ugh, now I got to fiddle with those things again...

Anyway this looks great so far, but I'm more interested in the boss fights.

Problem Punk Cut?

Just not a fan of his design at all. When I fought him in MM&B I couldn't tell what the heck he even was, what his weapon was, or even where his head was.

BUT Quint gets my vote!

Understandable. Really when I saw him, it kinda reminded me your typical Super Robot design that you see in most anime ((Looking at you Astro Boy)).
