Go into your zandronum-yourname ini file and do a search for YD_NoWeakness. Delete any lines that contain it.

Download the game, it should be a zip file. Open the zip and drag it's contents into a folder of your choice. Run MM8BDM.exe to start the launcher. From there it should be straight forward!

You need to place them in the skins folder of where your Zandronum.exe is located. If you're using Doomseeker, it creates separate folders for each beta version of zandronum that comes out. You will need to put the skins in those skins folders also.

I'm reluctantly moving this to rejected because it's one of those things that we could improve and have a universal "pit" method that all core and custom maps can use, but it's too late as a lot of custom maps already exist and would require updating. Early versions of 8BDM weren't very future-proof and this is another example of a bad practice that has been going on too long to try to fix. The blame goes entirely to me on this one. Alas poor beat.

As for the core maps that could add beat support, I don't see the point if he's not meant to be in the map anyway.

Yes... Well some of them. The way I programmed this fight is kind of hacky and didn't mean to add cheat protection but I don't think it's a massive issue. Even modders can get around it.

Added fakeman and fireman changes. Not a fan of the crystal changes, I don't think a glowy head is necessary. Also shouldn't his left arm be backward for his back/side firing frames?

It's because the Zandronum community (even with us combined) isn't that large, and not many people actually test the engine out. Even those who did usually only tested one specific mod or a handful of players rather than lots of different mods and lots of players. With TSPG now forcing the beta versions progress is actually being made and we may see 3.0 actually get finished.
