You can have even more fun with that by switching fly down with +land

ARRRG I can always identify when people do that but I don't usually call them out because they stumble around into walls like a dumbass usually. Makes me :( when used on long stretches of land but thank funk it's fixed(/broken?) in 98a. If it gets UNfixed again.

Camping is always a big deal in GVH but if it's a Creeper trying to be sneaky I tend to forgive unless he's taking the piss (hiding in a hole in GVH07 waiting for someone to pass by).

I had an idea for a feature but people seemed to frown at it a while ago. Basically the server can set up an optional timelimit. If it's 0 then the whole script is ignored. When the timer gets low a message is printed "3 minutes remain! The Yurei is hungry!". Then when it finally reaches zero, a noclipping Yurei appears and floats around (like in GVHFIN) looking for the nearest player, taking them down one by one switching target at random and getting faster every second. Think of the killer ghost from bubble bobble.

Unfortunately if the epic battle lasted more than the timelimit, it would suck.

There's alot of factors to Sjas than just what type of techniques and situations present. To be an effective Sjas you would need to know how to move in every direction at an efficient speed.

And here's me thinking it was just "You can fly, get as close as possible and kill stuff"

cutman im not telling you to stop it but tell the server to use kick_idx command so we can kick this guy in player list

I have recently been given rcon access to that server so I should be able to make him squirm next time I catch him.

Why not? As long as it teaches you how to read the opponent's mind and know what direction to charge  ;)

Creeper's are great for baiting ghost busters to use their traps. Sit back, throw a ball, watch them get scared and take them down as they try to escape  :p

Btw I might make the traps last longer.

I think Ventris is talking about a different server (Ariel's). I'm pleased to announce that I finally got rcon permissions for Oblacek, so people are going to have a nasty shock when they start being retarded while I'm on the scene and suddenly they can't join the game any more.

Indeed, but I think all we can do with the original topic is simply agree that yes, they're annoying. ;)

3640
Indeed. I have no idea what's going on in screenshot 2 though.

If I was lord of skulltag I would have a server flag which forces all user sprites/models/definitions to be turned off. I.e any WAD attached that isn't loaded by the server is ignored.

Always? I've only done it a couple of times, usually because Jitterskulls get their act together and wait until I pull the trigger.

Oi what the fark that's supposed to be fixed

Also putting them around the walls near where the humans start is good because Jitterskulls often try to charge and end up bumping into the back walls (The Spire)

Nice! This guide will have to get more complex when the new ghostbuster comes out, but I will reveal that the traps are gonna work just the same (except the ability to switch back to your weapon) so you shouldn't have to mess around with that too much.

I like the idea with the cyborg example, but it requires a bit of communication to get that to work well. Shame there's no voice chat.
