Here's an idea: make current MM1CUT the middle point of a new map, do not change that layout. Expand MM1CUT to the sides: balcony area or something right outside the map.
I'd honestly be ok with something like this. But it seems unlikely they'll change it, so there's that.  :?

Also, regarding MM1-styled Oilman and Timeman's theme...I can take care of that.[/
  I'd love to hear your take on these themes!

No, that isn't close. What I was saying was the composition of the tracks themselves do not feel like the rest of the MM1 tracks. Not the fact if there 8 bit or not.
I know, it just makes it almost sounds kinda like MM1... or not.
Either way I like this version the most, so I thought I'd put it out there.   :geek:

Heh, the PU theme is still FC......someone should hopefully be able to Famitrack that one soonish.

I say just switch them to the MM1 boss theme, I mean that's what PU was trying to emulate anyway right? (unlike the themes of Time Man and Oil Man.)

But they would never blend in no matter what. The entire composition of the tracks themselves do not fit the MM1 tracks.

Quite saddening indeed Mr. Ivory. If they were gonna make a game based on MM1, they could at least have the decency to better emulate MM1.

It's an old topic by now, but here's this.

Pretty close. Sorta. Kinda. Maybe?

Opinions.

Cutman's stage as a simple almost tutorial-like level is fine, in my opinion.
100% agree. It's fine as it is. Just dont get carried away with playercounts...

Alright, I've added MMIIGB stuff, including an open Famitracker version of both Quint's Stage and a full on remix of the final melting-clock stage/Wily Station 2(?).
Improving or remixing my transposition of Quint's stage is entirely acceptable, but the other remix was made by Mex in 2010, and isn't mine.

There you go, reworked to fit the 16x16 style we use around here.  I Made it match the other one I did because why not.

You want different colors?  Do it yourself.

Thank you, sir.

what colors do you want them to be?  that's like a 5 minute job, honestly.
Why not the bronze ish colors seen in the other one? That is what you used for the teleporter in the other one you did, and that is the same stage.
Well, they're actually separate stages, so if they could have different pallets, that'd make more sence.

That's where my problem was. I don't know what'd work. :?
Something like it could be MegaMan 10 Special Stage 4, maybe?

Hey, could you do Quint's tiles from MMIIGB?
He already did bit from that game, such as the final stage (not the main fortress where Quint is actually fought though)

It is under other.
Yeah, I'm requesting Quint's Stage, these:

I tried to do'em the other day, but that's how I learned I cannot recolor tiles properly. :|

"Doing" is a strong word, but the expansion exists.

A year or two ago and I'd probably be pissy about someone else releasing a MM&B soundtrack thing because "it has to wait for the expansion!111" but I'm kind of over that so good job!
I was unaware. Where is it at?

Aw, I wanted to do the Music for MM&B! I guess I'll just do the music for the Megaman V expansion instead.
Is this music going in the expansion?
I don't know if they're doing a MM&B expansion.

You made a good choice using that naming convention for the missing castle stages. MM8BDM v3B renamed all the wily stage music to follow MM8's standard.
I figured as much, it make's a lot of sence once you get used to it.
Have y'all concidered adding the 2nd Wily Stage for MegaMan 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6?
