I haven't seen many people on Cutstuff talk about or even slightly mention fighters that much, so I figured instead of making a topic for one specific title, I thought I'd make a topic to rally up all those who enjoy the genre of games that is Fighting. Smash Bros is more so a party game and as such requires it's own topic. This topic on the otherhand, is for all the traditional fighting games out there like Street Fighter, Tekken, and everything else. So Cutstuff, what fighters do you play? And on which system? If this gets enough attention, I'll put up a list of games (Including Supercade/GGPO) and the names of people that play them.

Normally on Xbox Live I play a lot of Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom, but recently I've been playing Tekken 6 again to get myself hyped for Tag Tournament 2 which looks really damn promising. I also play games on Supercade and GGPO like Street Fighter Alpha 2, King of Fighters 98, Samurai Shodown 4, and others. Oh yeah, and I do occasionally play Touhou 12.3 *It's a fighting game!* on Hamachi.

General Gaming Discussion / DataLyne: An RPG Maker debut by Turbo.
« on: March 09, 2012, 11:47:34 AM »
Ello, everyone. Lately I've been asking some people for tips on how to use RPG Maker, as some of you may know.
Now that I've found out what problems I was running into, Me and my friend rainwearspurple, who is another primary programmer for this, have made enough progress to show a proof of concept for
what I plan to be working on.

Introducing:
DATA-LYNE (whoever get's the reference in the name gets a thumbs up)

Before you read on, click the link above to see what kind of progress I've made.

Now, the game was originally supposed to be an exaggerated re-telling of some of the internet drama I've seen over the
course of my years. Though as more people began to talk to me about it, I decided to rewrite the story to become something different, while still keeping things in a realm similar to the Internet we know, where everything and anything can happen.

As for development, coding-wise things are going at a moderate pace. The visuals however, are still relying on a lot of stock sprites (the virus that Sam fights in the video, for example), so we're looking for all the help we can get when it comes to graphics. Come to think of it, any form of help would be appreciated, as well as criticism and ideas.

MM8BDM Discussion / MM8BDM was given a Cacoward!
« on: February 12, 2011, 07:50:03 PM »
I dunno if I'm late about this, but..

Quote from: "Scuba Steve"
Colour me shallow, but Megaman Deathmatch is beautiful. Just look at the screenshot in this review or check the website to see how accurately NES-like this project is. Cutman and team recreated dozens of original Megaman characters, weapons, and stages to produce a deathmatch experience that is unbelievably gorgeous and entertaining. The project even includes a single player DM challenge complete with Megaman-themed boss battles after each hub.
For those who don't know, the Cacowards is an annual celebration hosted by doomworld dedicated to well made and otherwise significant wads for Doom and doom-engine games.

But never did I expect to see 8BDM on this list.

What are your thoughts on this?

MM8BDM Discussion / What exactly IS this?
« on: October 11, 2010, 01:57:55 AM »

It looks like some, star, thingy, and I can't seem to pick it up.
It just stands there in a few maps, doing absolutely nothing.
What is its purpose?

MM8BDM Discussion / Hmmm, Where have I seen this before?
« on: October 09, 2010, 04:21:02 PM »
Well, when I was hosting a server of 8-bit DM the other night, a friend asked me to switch it to CTF, so I did.
When the map got to MMCTF02, it seemed, very similar to some other map I've seen in the past. Have a look here:

Was this an intentional reference, or just a coincidence? I'm quite curious to know.
