MM8BDM Discussion / Re: What has brought you here?
« on: February 24, 2011, 04:26:29 PM »
Oh, it was way back when.
I had just got done playing some ZDaemon, only to be referred to a video by a friend of mine *who also plays Skulltag with me from time to time*.
It was the very first video of 8BDM, before the SGC demo even came out.
I was quite intrigued from how it played, so I kept my eye on it.

Later on, the first SGC demo was released, and on the day that I played it,
Cutmanmike joined the server I was in. He told me to share my feedback on his forum, so I did just that.

Finally, as the game was officially released, I decided to stay on the forums and pop in every once and a while.

MM8BDM Discussion / MM8BDM was given a Cacoward!

I dunno if I'm late about this, but..

Colour me shallow, but Megaman Deathmatch is beautiful. Just look at the screenshot in this review or check the website to see how accurately NES-like this project is. Cutman and team recreated dozens of original Megaman characters, weapons, and stages to produce a deathmatch experience that is unbelievably gorgeous and entertaining. The project even includes a single player DM challenge complete with Megaman-themed boss battles after each hub.
For those who don't know, the Cacowards is an annual celebration hosted by doomworld dedicated to well made and otherwise significant wads for Doom and doom-engine games.

But never did I expect to see 8BDM on this list.

What are your thoughts on this?

I've decided as some people may be having a hard time with trying to get a match together, I thought it'd be a good idea to host a server for other tournament players to meet up and arrange matches.

And if you so wish, you could also perhaps play on this server as well for matches too. I cannot manage it 24/7, so be warned.

The IP is: 75.69.18.17

Here are my ideas for some Medals.

Excellent: A golden 1-up icon *the little megaman head from the games*

Incredible: A red 1-up icon *Yes, I'm kinda taking reference from skulltag itself for these two, so what?*

You Fail It: A Met hiding under its helmet.

YOUR SKILL IS NOT ENOUGH!: A met being stepped on by some Robot Master.

That's all I got at the moment.

MM8BDM Discussion / Re: cheat servers?

Oh yeah, and if you're hosting a cheat server, you should make it private.
Or else, this might happen:

I'm supposed to be dueling Sonicfan but he's NEVER online.
I am usually online, probably not at your time, but still.

Name: Turboman
Country: United States of America: East Coast
Availability: Often, message me on msn/skype if you so need me.
Your level: High, or maybe slightly higher.
If you can host a server: No. Last time I hosted for a tournament, it was crazy, in all the worst ways possible.

This should be interesting...

I am now going by my new name:

If you see him, or are wondering where Turboman is, that's me.

Sweet, an FNF for 8BDM!

Maybe you should add a random wad for each day that you host it, like Skulltag's "official" FNF does. :o

Megaquint didn't want, nor did he have time for a rematch, so he and Tails opted not to do it.

Oh yeah, and Stonefunk; You need to add me on the list of players for GOL/GFR. :P

Due to quite a bit of controversy going on amongst my team *ORA*, I've decided to make my leave and abandon the group.

It was fun being in the tournament, but I cannot continue onwards with a leader who is going to be a complete jerk to another teammate.
I won't say who that is, as it's pretty obvious, and he knows who he is.

Thanks for the fun tournament while it lasted, Stonefunk.

However, there is one server that is so MANLY
Hey, that's the slogans for MY servers.

Either way, on the topic of clans/teams. I don't really focus that much on it, sure I'm a member of GOL *given, not in the teams TOURNAMENT*, but I'm just there to participate in any special event that may involve them, and to be with friends that are in said clan.

And I wouldn't have it any other way.

It would be an awesome touch to the tournament if we had "official" announcer/commentator as well. It'll feel a bit more "professional" lol.
I could perhaps be an announcer for games I'm not playing.
