Giving the fact that 10% of the Megaman bosses are reskins of Megaman of other ones, mostly focused on quint and "Megaman?" , AND that when megaman changes a weapon its only a re-color
I didn't really mind the megaman re-skins.

Ok, first of all, Quint isn't a recolor of Mega Man:  Quint IS Mega Man...but from the future.  Mega Man? is a clone of Mega Man so of course it's the same character.  However, he's irrelevant since we're talking about sprites of bosses and that's a 3d model.  I don't think you get what we're complaining about:  The bosses of this game clearly use Mega Man's sprite (the same facial features, everything) as a base and don't change much to make them look like original characters.  No other Mega Man boss does this.  They have similar body builds but the actual sprites are not Mega Man with different clothes on.

How can anyone vote no?  It's free and Capcom is supporting it.  What's not to like?

The fact that it looks visually like garbage (which I'd complain about if it were just a fangame still) and that Capcom is using something someone else did and would have released for free on their own just to slap their name on it and look good.  Also the fact that Capcom probably wouldn't have supported it if it weren't leeching off of a more popular series.

I can't help but see Africa(well, all the green) there as Bowser's profile.

The area of the park is the "Streets of America" :ugeek:

Yeah, I learned about the robot master/Wily Stage thing a long while ago.  It's still pretty cool to think about.

Well, at least the gameplay will hopefully be better than XOver and it's free, but yeah, looks like just another fangame despite...not being a fangame.

EDIT:  From Capcom-Unity:

Best of all, this is a true collaboration between Capcom and its fans. Singapore superfan Seow Zong Hui (maybe you've seen his Dhalsim skills?) approached our own Christian Svensson back at EVO 2012 with the skeleton of SFxMM running on a laptop. Seeing the potential and serendipitous opportunity, Sven shared it with GregaMan and I a week later. We evaluated (aka played to death) it and said uh yeah, this is pretty damn cool. Then it all started coming together.

So NVM, it IS a fangame.

I've shifted to my "Disney Parks at Christmas time" wallpaper folder for my desktop slideshow.
Note: Some of the lights aren't burned out, the show just has them flashing on and off in time to the music

Mega Man Discussion / Re: Mega Man 25th Anniversary

Well, I think what DonutYoshi meant was that it isn't relevant to the classic series in that it basically goes way off and does its own thing.  I mean, the X series is a direct continuation of the Classic series in the timeline, and then Zero clearly and directly takes off from that, and then ZX directly takes off from the Zero series.  Then you've got Legends sitting waaaaaaaaaay off in the future with no real link to anything.  Plus, (and here's why I've never cared for it) it's basically not even a Mega Man game.  It feels like a random adventure game and someone decided to change the main character so he kind of sort of looks like Mega Man just so they could slap Mega Man on the cover.  It just feels so distant compared to everything else.  At least the Battle Network/Star Force series kept more classic conventions like Robot master-ish enemies, familiar things like Mets, and such.

But I digress.  Watching it again, I think both levels look cool, but I'm not a fan of either of the designs for the robot masters.

Yeah, but can't you just ignore players spamming messages?  I mean, use the ignore feature.

So, it's a classic Mega Man game with random Legends characters shoved in.  Why not the other series since they're at least closer to the original series?  Why only the most niche series?  Why is it so awkwardly shoved in?  Seems like a pretty lame idea.  At least Bio Man's stage has an interesting gimmick, but that's really all I can say for it.

I'd just disable vote kicking for the time being, personally.  I mean, really, the most obnoxious thing an obnoxious player can do is vote kick for no reason.

toy factories,
parts of clown man are clearly based on toys and toy land.

I know, but I mean more like a festive toy factory with giant nutcrackers and other common Christmas-y things.  I suppose "Santa's Workshop" would have been a better way of putting it.

Yeah, the one screenshot you've got at the beginning doesn't look very festive to me.  Snow =/= Holiday.  A festive map would need custom textures and festive ideas like giant presents, toy factories, a mall on Black Friday - the single most dangerous map ever get the creative juices a-flowin'!  In fact, here's a free idea:  Snow Miser vs. Heat Miser ctf.  BUT you'd have to make custom textures to make it look right!

The Timothy Dalton ones just feel weird to me, especially that one.

Well, regardless, we're at the bug testing phase at this point so what we've got storyline-wise now is what you're going to get.  Maybe next time we'll (or whoever is in charge will) change it up.  Either way, the campaign's seen enough changes for one expansion and we're not delaying it now for plot reasons.

The way I see it, if we're ever going to make everything cohesive, it'll be after MM10 is completed.  There's no sense in continuously changing the story just so it ends on the latest addition only to add yet another chapter.  For the moment, though, it works better to say "THE END.  Now there's some extra missions you got for beating the game!" than "THE END.  No wait, that wasn't the end of the story, NOW it's the end of the story.  NO WAIT, NOW it's the end of the story.  Wait a second, there's a bit of the story we left out from last time, HERE'S the ending.  NO WAIT!"
