REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
I'm back with another map update: The proof of concept for Thrill Man is done, which means the map is now heading into production. The video below shows the concept which is basically a giga-size Item-2 except it's not too fast and you can actually walk around a bit on it.

Originally someone else was supposed to make this map, but they wimped out and left me in charge. Here's the things I plan to do with the map:
-Fighting across rooftops and on top of buildings (Like Fake Man)
-Using Thrill Wedges (I call them Thrill Platforms) to promote fast movement across the map and shortcuts
-Fighting inside the buildings and having broken walls showing pipes and possibly secrets
-Keeping the train as a decorative prop at best since it's probably too large to be an interactive prop
-Keeping the highway-esque part of the stage as background decoration too
If you disagree with any of these changes, please come to the Discord server since it's easier to keep tab of that chat instead of Cutstuff. If you need a link to the Discord, a link should be on Page 1 of this topic or you can just ask Maxine or Sonicfam. Expect this map to be finished by early/mid October

That makes me wonder, maybe we should include that disclaimer in the intro to this game too

Hey don't go talking crap, I don't think Galactan's piece is bad at all. It's cramped, but I was able to scale it up a bit and it's quite a nice piece with just a few changes.
Here's a quick example of adjusting pieces to your liking:

If anyone has trouble finding nice-sounding nsf files to use as music, the following list of links should take you to places where you can download nsf's. You can use nsf's that use no expansion chip (2A03) and VRC6 without many problems, although I'm not sure about other chipsets (I think N106 works too, but definitely not VRC7). Zandronum's NSF player sucks right now, but for playing simple songs it works well enough. Just make sure the song loops unless you're comfortable with a second or two of silence before it restarts (for some tracks, it's honestly fine).

You can join the Discord chat (linked at the very top of the forum) and head over to the #core_feedback channel to hand off sprites, I think

Well the forum section is called "Anything Goes" for a reason, so I don't think it matters if this thread is a joke or not since it doesn't really break any rules.
BTW the worst thing I've ever done was cheat on a midterm exam just so I could stay on track for graduation. I feel like such a cheater

As a reminder, making maps for V5B will require some changes to your editing tools (Doombuilder and Slade). These changes can be found here:

Granted, you suddenly feel an unquenchable desire to work, but you only want to work on Diaper-furry animations for the rest of your life.

MM8BDM Discussion / Re: Running away is very easy in this game
« on: April 28, 2017, 04:45:06 AM »
Messatsu is right about points 1 and 5, and I think that the devs should heavily consider rehauling the weapons to produce a game that is fun, fast, and fair. Dueling in this game has honestly gotten quite boring over the years, and while this might be attributed to fighting the same group of people over and over, this also stems from how long some duels can take when you're against someone who knows how to jump and run. It rewards cowardice more than it rewards skill because it's much easier to run toward the nearest health capsule than it is to land a Silver Tomahawk. Buffing weapons might lead to a power creep, but it's better than playing everything safe and forcing many people to play Saxton or CBM just so they can FEEL powerful.
