Whoah, invincible plumbers? What next, supersonic hedgehogs?

Oh my yes, but that's not all. Years later some psychotic crate vandalizing bandicoot came to town. Destroyed our entire depot, and stole all our fruit plantation! I just hope there isn't such thing as a snake eater... no! You're kidding me!?

Ahh thanks Yellow Devil (soon to be pinky minty yummy looking edible devil eh... hmm, lol). Oh but it's not Mega Man you have to worry about though, Kirby rather. I've seen him eat, he eats anything! He swallows all his food, and some enemies twice his size! It's madness!
Seriously, that guy is insane. It's no wonder he's always hungry, because he swallows his food.
In the process he swallows so much air that he can fly about the world without a worry in the world. And he copies abilities too!
I know! What is this? We must put a tab on this guy and yeah I'm gonna stop talking now, lol.

If I spy on people (ie. other forum sites) about upcoming cool stuff, do I get a Snake Man badge for... being a snake? No? ok, lol. Worth a shot.  :p

What ever is better I think. If waiting is better, then I don't mind waiting.
I'm only up to MM2 in MM8BDM, and haven't played online yet so I have plenty of time. I don't mind waiting at all.

On the topic of Flash Man, this reminds me of it!

Capcom made this I think before Mega Man 2? But definitely after MM1 though.

Having said that, this reminds me of MM1's Wily stage 1.

Hm...

I wonder if anyone can tell what mine is... it's pretty obscure.

Hmm, is it, from My Little Pony?

Ahh of course, I should have figured that even Yellow Devils (there's more than one?) use CCTV too.

Shame to hear about the milkshakes, though I guess you can somehow, absorb it? If not, demand Wily to upgrade you with taste buds!

Here's another question: how do you get your font size so small? I put tiny on there but it's not small enough. I tried copy/pasting from MS Word but it doesn't work either.

(click to show/hide)

But I have one question... how did you know I was competing in the tournament? Surely you must have the "all seeing eye?"

It would appear that your eye is your biggest strong point and weakness would it not? One would think so yes? Also, what do you think of strawberry milkshakes? ^ ^ lol.

Mine is self-explanatory, lol.

Damage (if he's still on the forums) is your avatar a cross between L4D's hand logo with the emblem of C&C's Brotherhood of Nod?

8 bit Snake Man is sssssmirking.

Well Bobby Prince the composer of the soundtrack for Doom is also a lawyer.
He knew how many samples he could take without being sued.

Pretty awesome really.

He was a lawyer? Oh wow, that's awesome, ha ha. Yeah he would know how much to use etc. Interesting, I did not know this.

Hmm, can't think of any more Mega Man comparisons at this stage. I think the main ones were already mentioned.

EDIT:
Someone's done the work for us, lol:

I disagree with like half the songs, but I love the Neon Tiger comparison. Listening to Neon Tiger's stage, it sounds like you could play it on guitar (power chords).

I don't mean to kill your fun about Doom music but... http://doom.wikia.com/wiki/Doom_music

It's all there.

Ah interesting. Ah yeah, I'm not saying that Id made the game and suddenly "zomg, did they notice the songs were similar?" or "they secretly ripped off songs" I actually think they were genuinely inspired by certain bands, and in a way were paying tribute to them when making the music for Doom.

As for Elec Man and Journey... not sure, but it seems Metallica pops in every now and then. Mega Man was definitely inspired by certain artists, but in a way the songs turned out a lot less similar to the original inspirations; compared to the Doom songs/ other bands songs comparison.

I wanna find more now, ha ha. I have a feeling there's this particular NES game that had massive inspiration by a band. I do know that the cover of Contra was inspired by Arnie, Stallone and Aliens.

Ahh yes, Minecrack, lol.
At first I thought "ok, what ever" but yeah, I somehow got hooked on this game! If you describe the game to someone, it sounds vague and boring, but there's something about it that is very appealing.

Definitely when you wanna just chill (or your brain is too slow to kill 8 bit enemies). Of course MM8BDM is the action game (very fast) Minecraft is a more relaxing game (kinda).

I saw a video of someone making a roller coaster. I want to make one but it's gonna take ages to find and smelt ore (I want it to go down a mountain, lol). Next project: Make Minas Tirith from Lord of the Rings, lol!   Or just a really nice house.

Some more classic tunes that get me pumped!

I still have this game, and I still can't clock it, but this music makes up for it!

Fave track in this game (except the Probotector version was slower):

This track holds infinite nostalgia!

Finally, probably the most epic intros to a NES game ever! (although i'll post just the music):

P.S. Yes I feel slightly old, but no, I don't care, because I grew up with the best era of video games!

Something about Mega Man 3 (also it was the first MM game I clocked, only last year). I never clocked any MM games as a kid. I'd always get to the Dr. Wily levels and get stuck somewhere.

They are all great in their own way though.

Also, does anyone see any similarity between Shade Man's theme: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VxSWjJmz1Dk
And the solo at 1:37 in Judas Priest's Hell Bent for Leather? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mpCfWn5TQkI
Not necessarily the lead, more the rhythm track, but the fact the lead plays the way it does with the rhythm track is what reminds me of it.

Also, one could say the Command & Conquer cover looks like that Judas Priest Album cover, lol: http://oscarolim.com/wp-content/uploads ... onquer.gif
