sorry, my fault
it's incredibly easy to get swamped when you work extended shifts five nights in a row

good news, though: the animals are fully cleaned

CHECK YOUR CUTMAIL FOR A MAFIA NEWSLETTER

Attacks are essentially your votes. When you post in the thread during the Day Phase, you "attack" another player. Most attacks deal a standard 20 damage, though some have secondary effects that change this damage amount, which is why I'm even mentioning this in the first place.

Abilities are marked with (Day), (Night), or (Any). This indicates which Phase you are able to use those abilities.
The majority of abilities have a cost next to them; to use abilities, you must spend the amount of Gems listed.
For example, an ability called : Drain Punch would require one Red Gem and one Green Gem in order to be used.

Every player has a Type assigned to them; this determines what kind of Gem is dropped when they are eliminated. For example, Croconaw (Jamming-Type) would give all players one Blue Gem when eliminated. Under normal conditions, every player will collect two Gems per turn (one death through Day Phase votes, and one death through Night Phase mafia strikes).

Generally speaking, Offense-Type hurts a lot,
Support-Type defends or buffs other players,
and Jamming-Type disables or scans for data.
Also, unless your card says otherwise, you are a townie.

Doesn't sound too bad, right? Riiiight?

confirmations would be appreciated, though it's only super urgent if you're a mafia player
also Ceridran are you still playing? I heard you're having PC issues so might as well ask

please and thank you

alright

so some pretty dank memes from years ago are coming back for revenge
Messatsu revived 8-Bit Death Smash out of literally nowhere
then CSCM reared its three heads up from the grave
now Rage Roboenza is updated and somewhat popular again

there's only one meme left

C U T S T U F F M A F I A T O U R N A M E N T

in case you forgot how to play a mafia

Each turn is split into two halves, the day phase and the night phase. The day phase usually lasts longer than the night phase because not everyone can act during a night phase, but this isn't always true. In past Cutstuff games, a phase is usually either 24 or 48 hours.

TOWNIES are just regular dudes. They only know their own role and nobody else. Their goal is to survive by finding out who the MAFIA players are, and then kicking them in the shins. You kick MAFIA players in the shins by voting them off during the day phase.

The MAFIA is the league of bad dudes. If you are a MAFIA player, you will know who the other MAFIA players are. Their goal is to take over and kill enough non-MAFIA players so that the MAFIA outnumbers everyone else. Try to blend in with the TOWNIES and protect your MAFIA friends.

During the day phase, everyone can post in the thread and vote against other players. Usually. Some abilities are also used during the day phase. During the night phase, the MAFIA goes to town and kills a man. Tragic. Some abilities can only be used during the night phase, so if you're not MAFIA you might still be useful. Motivation.

hey did I say MERRY CHRISMASH HOLIDAY RAFFLE whoops I meant HAPPY NEW TIERS 2016 RAFFLE

Thunderono is the top banana
his first pick was Cactus so that's what he did done darn diddly won
wowser bowser

Choog is the slightly lesser banana
he is also one of few people who actually wanted ShootMania: Storm
congratulations! you won

Jennifer won a prize!? R I G G E D
now you, too, can drown in weeb hell all night long
with her very own copy of Winamp

Watzup7856 might be home of the peppered asscheeks
but he is also the home of a copy of The Ship
(he won too)

Anjo is a banana of indeterminate origin
like that tiny misshapen banana that's on the bunch, stuck in-between all the regular sized bananas
doesn't matter though, still won Shantae

edit because hahaha WHOOPS forgot a game
technically that cool OJ guy was the sixth banana but he just wanted The Ship
so Guns of Icarus instead goes to lucky number seven
who just so happens to be Ukiyama

MM8BDM Discussion / you knew these two were coming

Are the previous campaign chapters (cough cough MM7) being touched up to meet the new quality standard that was introduced in the more story-driven MM8, & Bass, and Wily Tower chapters?

Any changes to Leaf Shield?

as a Centaur main I also agree that her buster having zero ammo cost and being infinite range after the spit is really dumb
actually, it's not free, it's worse -- why do you gain ammo while shooting

allow Centaur Step to be used with less than full ammo (PLZ), and make split shots fade away after a certain distance
... and halt ammo regeneration while you're shooting the buster, at the very least

and maybe shift her damage output more on the "full" shot so there's more reward on hitting vs. chipping out with split shots

please and thank you

MM8BDM Discussion / Re: MM8BDM v5 - What maps do you feel need work? Pt. II
« on: December 27, 2015, 06:03:12 PM »
just gonna leave my two cents

honestly I can't stand how one-directional current Gravity Man is, especially the stupid high shelf next to the main hallway

there's only one way up there, those huge-ass stairs next to the supply closet
said entrance is stupid easy to camp and prevent enemies from getting up to the shelf
you can't jump up the steps unless it's low gravity
and the weapon that hits up to the shelf (Search Snake) is placed on the shelf

like wtf this is honestly the dumbest piece of stage geometry I think I've seen in core
(excluding Dive Man, but we don't talk about Dive Man)

I'm in full support of either a partial revamp or a full rework of the stage's layout; HOWEVER I'm also in full agreement with Bikdark in that the gravity mechanic should impact the entire stage, not specific sections of the stage (or separating the effects into different areas). I do think that the gravity mechanic is really good if used properly, as you effectively get two uses out of any one given area (low gravity lets you move around easier and reach high places, whereas high gravity turns ordinarily-useless platforms or crates into excellent cover, since you can no longer jump over them). The unique, strategic value of alternating gravity can't be ignored simply to make the stage more "tolerable", even if the current layout is (in my opinion) badder than bad.

but that's just, like, an opinion, man
