I wanted to try my hand at maps and I got help from VyseTheLegend96 for a burnerman lvl design and this is what I concocted from the original design we came up with

in the center of the room is the building with 2 ground openings and a high colomn that would have the wave burner and to get it, you have to cross a bridge that lines the walls, it seems easy at 1st but spears will come out the walls. also at the sides of the building, there are walls with ladders that can be used as a shortcut to the bridges, but to access the shortcut you have to cross the flamable ground area to reach it. the gound area has W and E tanks and the bass and protobuster by the walls. also, I'm planning on adding passable foliage that can be used to hide and sneak around. Also, for the cherry on the cake, there will be a large telly that comes from the trees that drops a bomb that ignites the ground, but you can avert the disaster incase your on the ground unable to escape by shooting down the telly before it drops the bomb.

anything you think I should add?

You've been everywhere but this topic apparently.  I've already said how to add textures.  If you mean the grass objects, they're under "DECORATE" at the bottom of the add things list.

Also, for adding music, just add the music file to your .wad and edit the mapinfo so it plays the music.

No what I mean by grass and other flat textures is, how to you add stuff like thin walls like the windows in cutman's stage or the windows in flameman's or the grass in woodman's

I tried my hand at stage bulding, I can figure out how to add everythng on my own...well, except textures ofcourse ^^;

this is sortof what I was thinking for clownman

I was thinking of doing a large castle walls surrounding the stage with the clock tower in the center and maby adding the gator mouth holes in the ground going to the toy or pirate area

also, I need help adding new textures

sugestions for the MM8 expansion

MM8 weapons
Thunder Claw: fires a short ranged beam of electric energy
Flash bomb: fires a bomb that creates a explosion that blinds nearby players
Ice wave: crates a waves of ice that continues until it hits the ceiling
Tornado hold: maby make this a support item (it would be TOO broken if it was used for damage), it launches you into the air with a vortex
Homing sniper: pretty much another diveman and magnetman weapon.
Astro crash: attacks everyone around you in a radius
water balloon: fires water blobs at a low arc that can be fired quickly.
flame sword: a close ranged verticle slash
Mega ball: (could be used for the megaman soccer mod?) creates a ball that can be kicked, but explodes after a while

Clownman
Grenademan
Frostman
Tenguman
Astroman
Aquaman
Swordman
Searchman
Island base

what's your personal style of playing in CTF
it can be from, berserker that runs into the base for the flag with no reguard of there safety, a meat sheild protecting the flagger, a foot soldier giving cover fire, or a sniper
Me I prefer the Ninja stratagy, I run into the base and attract attention, them hide and wait for them to run by then score. and sometimes when there theres nowhere to hide, I'm just a meat sheild

^_^; I'd create a stage, but unfortunatly I dont know a lick about creating deathmatch type maps (tried to make burnerman's stage, but it was too open and had trouble with the bulding)
