I dislike the firing pose.
When it's shooting/charging something, it looks like it's freaking out.

The helmet should be lower.
You're right.  The helmet should be lower, going by how Mets fire in the games.  However, if I did that, then you could hardly tell the thing was firing at all.  So I decided to use the "pop up" frame of animation instead.  I thought it looked more interesting that way.

Though admittedly, I didn't consider how it might look when charging a weapon.  I'm going to have to remember that if I make another skin.

Edit: You're right.  That looks absolutely ridiculous.  And unfortunately, not in a good way.  And so... I've updated the skin (Sub-Edit: This link now works again.  Oi.  >_>;), just for you.  ...  No, I'm serious.  I would have never have noticed how silly that looked had you not said something.  So, thanks!  :D

... I screwed up bad.

Have you ever uploaded and released a skin without testing it?  I just did that yesterday.  >_<;  Not only did it lack the SKININFO file, but... the sprites didn't have their proper offsets!  It's all fixed now, plus I changed the secondary firing frames to the "surprised" look.  It works pretty well!

I say go for it.

I also say let the tainted one DTD back in if he so desires it.  I agree with everyone else -- it's been long enough.  Besides, I'm not there to beat up on right now anyway.  :x

That is, without a doubt, one of the greatest things ever in Minecraft.

It does look funny!  But unfortunately, I can't say as it looks like something worth spending money on.  Quite frankly, it reminds me something you'd find on Newgrounds for free.

There are so many problems with your post, where do I even begin?

First off, seriously?  You're pretty much asking us to make a game for you.  No, in fact, you are asking us to make a game for you!  Can't you come up with ideas on your own?  It's much more satisfying, plus you won't run into "legal complications" later on down the road.

Secondly, 8-bit is so 1986.  Or 1987, if you prefer.

Thirdly, since when does the classic series rely on armor upgrades?  Are you trying to make a Mega Man game, or a Mega Man X game?  Make up your mind.

In short, come back when you have something a little more concrete than "hopes and wishes" to work on.  I'll be over here, working on my own fan game, in the meantime.*
* Protip: I'm not actually working on a fan game.**
** At least not my own.  :o[/i]

Mega Man Discussion / Re: Rockman 4 Minus Infinity

I personally start with Diveman due to the fact he's the easiest to handle and is weapon has nearly infinite usage and uses.  His stage can be tricky, but there's not an overwhelming amount of nastiness to it.  Then again, Surumakers never really bothered me, even in Mega Man 8...

I'm positive this joke has already been made, but...  How the hell do you get milk from Jarate + Refined Metal?!

The Sandvich is another interesting case.  Sandvich + crap metal = candy bar.  Sandvich + better metal = steak?!

... some things simply should not be blueprint components, I tell you what.

Yes.  Yes you can.

First of all, 7z is the compressed file/directory format of 7-Zip.  I'm not sure what file FCE Ultra X is looking for to be able to pop those open, but you're probably better off just extracting the thing because... I'm about 90% sure Rockman 4 - ? won't run in FCE Ultra X.  The MMC3 mapper version, anyway.  I'm not sure if there's any major differences between the MMC3 and MMC5 mapper versions, but VirtuaNES (last updated to v0.97 in 2007) should run both.  Edit: The English readme says it all:
"The MMC3 version is optimized for VirtuaNES, and the MMC5 version is optimized for FCEUX. NNNesterJ and G-NES are also supported. It is not compatible with Nestopia. Other emulators are untested."

Also, the latest version of the game (May 2011, I guess?) can be found via Google search for "Rockman 4 Minus Infinity".  I'd link to where I found it, but since the place has ROMs as well as patches...  Well, you know.

Edit 2: The MMC3 version is better.  There's a melting fire effect in Pharaohman's stage that the MMC5 version can't quite do properly in FCE Ultra X.  Compare for yourselves:

MMC3 version under VirtuaNES with FCE Ultra X palette
(click to show/hide)
MMC5 version under FCE Ultra X with Famicom/NES palette
(click to show/hide)
Edit 3: The special water in Cossack Stage 3 is also affected by this mapper issue.  However, I found a solution.  Under Config -> PPU, select "old PPU".  This makes the flicker and coloration effects work properly under FCE Ultra X.

You're a monster!  An horrible, terrible, gut-bustingly hilarious monster!  D8

I'm honestly more interested in user-generated modifications, myself.  Like the aforementioned four-chamber Grenade Launcher with rotating barrel that hasn't worked since 2010 or so...  I wish people would fix their modifications instead of leaving them up for people to stare at in vain...  :(

Double Post Powers, go!

The moment about four of you have been waiting for...

The real MEGA MAN ending from Street Fighter x Tekken!  Complete with vocal track and watermarked subtitles, courteous of FightingGameAddict!  :D

I sincerely hope I'm not the only one who got the joke.

I also noticed that when entering, i saw a message saying "your in 'cutstuff9' world". what does this mean?
That's the world name on Mike's computer.  Presumably, it's also the 9th map seed for the Cutstuff Minecraft Server.  Whether this counts the Superflat adventure world or not, I couldn't say.

Actually, that's not a MegaMan Volnutt suit.  That's just a generic "cyber cop" outfit.  As I explained in my comments, Alternate outfits are just random slapdash things, whereas Swap outfits are the character-swaps.

Slightly off-topic, Rufus dressed as Angel (Devil Kazuya's better half) is particularly scary.  Expected, but scary.

Didnt imagine you playing TF2 though, with your sattelite ping and all.
I not only don't play it anymore, but I physically can't.  Offline matches aside.  As fun as playing with bots is, I just got tired of the constant updates.  Being a satellite user, I have limited daily bandwidth, so downloading 100 MB each day* got rather tedious.

* This is a slight exaggeration, but the game does update constantly with seemingly pointless 80+ MB patches that constantly break customization features.  I miss my four-slot Grenade Launcher with rotating barrel...  >_>
