Grenademageddon's fuse needs to, at minimum, allow a class with normal walking speed to get from point blank to outside the danger zone with at least a second to spare (before considering unfavorable terrain, slowing effects, or other hazards)

I figure the whole skip thing wouldn't be so cut and dry, ex. Sparkman would be less likely to appear gradually from 9 to 15(ish) players until it doesn't appear at all.

I didn't say otherwise and this has no bearing on my claim (for the record, not focusing on building resources around deathmatch). I don't have specific feedback on certain resources because this is an overarching issue that does not apply to a single weapon or map.

What I'm implying is that there would be much more enjoyment from the community if focus was placed on the modes that are proven popular as opposed to Deathmatch.

You say MM8BDM is balanced around Deathmatch but provide no reasoning as to why besides it being "the way it's always been", which doesn't hold water. Classes, (T)LMS, and Duel are all far more popular than Deathmatch despite- as we have been told- the dev team has, this whole time, been putting their efforts towards making Deathmatch the more fun mode. I mean, if the devs wanna build for DM, that's fine and all. They could also make ice slasher do 170 damage and block all people from eastern Europe from downloading the game. There's authority and then there's being reasonable, but you do you.

Hello? Where in the Holy Bible of MM8BDM wherein there are requirements ordained by God Himself does it say that now and forevermore MM8BDM and all its maps have to focus on Deathmatch?

If it's not fun, not played, and not wanted, then focusing on it is stubborn and spiteful.

The Hyper Bomb concern doesn't apply to game modes other than Deathmatch (inb4 terminator) so it's rather irrelevant.

For MM5WAV, I feel that the original (including speed controllable-bikes) could have been very good (outside of the homing weapons on such an open map) if a new mechanic was introduced: you have to keep your wavebike fuel up. This could be accomplished by gathering ammo on dry land, just getting it idly over time, or maybe even build them into the bike-dispensers. This way, players can't stall indefinitely on the water but can still use them to get around, collect the water-bound weapons, and fight on the water assuming they don't drag it out too long.

The problem with such a class is that his viability changes dramatically depending on his opponent for obvious reasons. Of course, plenty of classes are inherently weak against others (a close-range agile class like flashman is gonna get bootyblasted by swordman, for example), but Galaxyman is a special case with his BHB. I had an idea where his bombs' sucking power would be proportional to speed as sort of a weight thing (yes yes even though gravity doesn't work that way) so that classes like hardman would be less fucked (especially how much slow classes struggle against his teleport+flight) whereas classes like quickman aren't an instawin scenario.
