Further Errata:
Custom maps and CTF maps are legal by mutual agreement only. Map picks will be done in standard BO3 format- one player selects the first map, the second player selects the second map, and if required, both players will agree on the third map.

Errata: MM8CLO is banned as it can heal players. Selfdestructs should be treated as if they added a frag to your opponent's frag count, but not remove one from yours (consider it as limited lives)

For those not aware, quite a bit back were the Attractive Member and Star Member medals (no points for guessing which Robot Masters appeared on them) that were ultimately removed along with a few others for being "too subjective" as to when it would be granted. While this is still a concern, I feel it is quite justified to return these medals, perhaps even as a combination of the two, to be granted to encourage this sort of action. To mitigate the subjectivity, some sort of product with proof of use should be evident (a Youtube video with a respectable view count, an article on a popular website, a tutorial that users can vouch for the usefulness of, etc.) before awarding the medal. Another point of justification I would cite for this is the current existence of the Enthusiast medal. Quantifying an objectively fun event seems... difficult.

Nitpick: Move Haunted Holiday to Fan Expansions?

Pipe Dream: Rework Cutstuff Warrior somehow, would love to see it be something to aspire to rather than the "oh my god CMM is playing I gotta dumpster him before he leaves" medal it used to be.

Just a reminder that banlists require 45 entries exactly, they will be checked before the tournament begins- currently it's been brought to my attention that Dan's only has 43 so please add a couple more

The medals are CutmanMike's discretion but I'm 99.9% there won't be participation awards.

Interest has definitely picked up so I'll give the tournament a few more days to pick up steam, hopefully reaching 16 (or maybe more?) players. Keep an eye on this thread over the next few days for updates.

That's 39 by my count and to ensure the theme of NU-classes holds a full banlist of 45 is required. Additionally, changes of banlist before the tourney begins are fair game. Edit your signup post if you wish to do so, please.

Rules: No Weaknesses - Buckshot On - Fraglimit 7 - Any self-destructs are considered added to the opponent's frags instead of costing your own - Best 2/3 [player 1 picks map, player 2 picks map, mutual agreed map - Any custom or CTF maps or MM5WAV and MM5GYR must be mutually agreed upon] - Double Elimination

Tired as all hell of classes like Joe, Slashman, Woodman, or Original Duo? Don't want to wait around for long drafts or try and organize a 6 player match? Don't trust global banlists to be fair? In this tourney, we give you the power and fully expect you to apply it very liberally! In your signup, please list 45 classes to ban throughout your entire tournament career. When two players go up against one another, any class on either player's banlist is off the table. You must pick a legal class (no need to announce it- just show up with it in-game) and use it for the entirety of that game (you can switch in between games).

Doomseeker's Wadseeker function only downloads .wad and .pk3 files (only holds resources for Zandronum, nothing that could be considered Malware) and even then only from trusted sources.

Duly noted, I'll play it safe for V5A and hold out for V5B's changes. Of course, now that you mention that save updating is so irregular, it seems like a good idea to me to normalize it to as early as possible, just to be as generous as possible.

Quick question for speedrun reasons: At what point in post-boss cutscenes is progress saved?

Plenty of bosses, especially "version enders" (Gamma, Evil Robot, Genesis Unit) have cutscenes at the end. Now, my question is, assuming I am on a new save file, how long do I need to wait until I hit escape and return to Light's Lab or exit the game? Does it differ by boss? I would assume it updates upon the death of the boss but I'd like to be sure.

Other bosses (MM1-5 bosses, Genesis Unit individuals, etc) with the little jingle aren't costing nearly as much time but it would be nice to know regardless.
