Thanks for your opinions on this. I've edited my config so that I can only activate the Safe mod.

This question I think can apply for anyone, other than just CMM. might help if I have the peoples thoughts on this too.

I guess what what I meant to ask was:

When do you know that your using too many mods? are certaint mod frowned upon or thought as helpful?

Sence I downloaded this pack, I have enabled three extras within the Zombe config file, that help me within the Cutstuff server. (aside from Rei's Minimap, and voxel chat, as these are included, and are the main addons. what I mention are completly extras that come along with this pack) Though I've been thinking of using three other commands too, though I havn't used them online at all.

Recently used on server
Lighting
(click to show/hide)
the first of the three i've been recently using. It's intened use is to light up everything to it's highest level, showing you where you might be, if in a dark cave; however, enemies still spawn in those spots that are origonally dark enough. This is merely a flashlight. (This also removes the ocean & bedrock blur)

Safe
(click to show/hide)
the second item I've been using on the server sence I found this. It's intended use is to mark blocks where enemies can spawn. The yellow indicates where they can spawn when it becomes night time. The red indicates where their able to spawn, regardless of day/night cycle (normaly seen in caves). I only use this to place light sources so that enemies don't spawn on me or a friend where we live.

Zoom
(click to show/hide)
As title intends, this only zooms your view. This can be controled simply by pushing the binded button of choice to zoom. You can also adjust the zoom by holding down the key, and moving your mouse up/down to adjust how close it zooms in.

Not used on server (a.k.a offline use)
Cheat
Show ore
(click to show/hide)
This extra is called a cheat for a reason. I don't use this because it can take out the challenge and reward of finding somthing that is known to be rare.

Mob
(click to show/hide)
I placed two creepers in this to show the exmple. This simply shows where every mob is at by color coded lines. I don't use this because distance judging becomes much more difficult, and I rather not see any lines when i don't need it.

Cheats I'm considering using
Mob Hp
(click to show/hide)
This is on by default when you toggle on 'Cheats'. I'm thinking about using this; although it doesn't really help in my opinion, its nice to know once in a while.

Player View
(No picture for this yet; havn't used this online with others)
This is Minecraft's "F12 button". It's intended use is to let someone view from another players perspective/view. This works by aiming your curser at the desired player, and pushing your binded key.

Again, I'm not sure 'how much' is 'too much', with the uses of these mods. Other modifications within Zombe I've disabled as I feel they are useless, and unnessacary for gameplay. I wanted to inform CMM about this so that I don't go running about with somthing he wouldn't approve of, not knowing it to be frowned upon. It might help if I have other's opinions about me using this, and what they feel about it; Honestly I don't like using alot that the admin doesn't know about in the first place, so I felt that i needed to bring it up here.

If CMM feels that its enough to be called cheating, then I will disable those mods he doesn't want being used (other than Rei's minimap, and Voxel chat)

Why not add chat this to the server?

Also, I wanted to ask CMM about using mod's related to this pack that I don't feel comfortable asking in public, but...

You don't mind if I ask you here, right?

Update to my stage teaser. (credit to Messatsu for the edit)

The map now has areas where you can die from burning to the ground.

If that is supposed to be Fireball Deathmatch I will punch a baby.

Then I guess you'll have to play it to find out. Most complaints have been about the shitload of textures in the room, and I made some tiny tweaks here 'n there. So, yeah... thats fireball deathmatch. and it's tottally NOT relocated to the top of an active volcano, so DON'T expect to see a second building. NOT that I replaced the music with somthing else, and completly revamped the entire map.

Don't reconize the character, but I do like the art style.

I think I'll post a small teaser for my stage, so that people can stop whining to me to make the stage better.

I only took this picture to make sure the rest of this room remains a suprise.

"Look! Now its not a giant mess of textures!"
