Needs Auto, Ra Thor, Fan, Apollo, Luna, the 12 constellation droids and the unnamed evil energy robot.

No biggie.   ;)

I made a tiling background that can keep the open style while still making it feel like you're somewhere in a giant cavernous bunker.  The skybox might need to be adjusted to make it work right but nothing drastic.

Seriously, don't worry about it.  I am trying to take the existing stages into account as I'm working on these tiles.  PU Bomb Man doesn't have any fences for example, but I added one because the stage as it currently exists does.

That said, there's no reason people can't go around tweaking things based on their much greater experience with the maps now that they've been out for a while at the same time the new textures get put on, and doing so should make the stages even better.  Try to think of this as an opportunity, not an obligation.

Bomb Man PU is up.  Man, they really changed the feel of that stage quite a bit.

Just that my expansion sorta died... so yeah.

Oh?  Well, seems like way more projects start than actually finish so you're far from alone.

...Wait, if you don't need them anymore what are you asking about?   :?

I haven't forgotten Stardood, you just aren't first in line.  Relax.  But sure, everyone should feel free to use any of the tiles I post here for whatever projects they want.  That's kind of the point... more textures are always a good thing.

And thanks for the continuous support, Korby, even when I'm not working on stuff specifically for you.  You're a class act!

I like the bulkiness of the second one the best, though it could use a bit more detail/definition especially in the hat.  The top one has a better sense of this but the proportions feel slightly off, and that's a harder fix.

Anything that isn't cyan/blue doesn't change with weapon selects, which means it's that much harder to to tell what someone using this skin is equipped with because most of the sprite will just always be white.  Also the way NES graphics work a sprite can only have 3 colors total, and one is usually black.  Megaman games had to cheat with sprite layering to make the face a different color than his body, which is why the games are so prone to sprite flicker.

So yes, while the white version does look very nice on it's own it just isn't right for the needs of the game and the overall graphic style.

I found that earlier actually, but thanks.

mrjnumber1 also sent me a batch of screenshots, but I still think i'm going to have to just watch a lets play and pause it from time to time to really get a feel for the stages, especially for any animated tiles.

It might also help if I'd ever actually played the game...but  oh well.

...and am I the only one who thinks these new stages are actually rather ugly, somehow even blockier than the original?  Probably a consequence of the editing program I guess.

I'm not really interested in joining a whole chat thing... I have too damned many IRL people bothering me on Trillian all the time as it is!

Basically I need screencaped maps (or just ripped texture sheets if you've somehow managed to get those) so I know what the hell I'm doing.  I mean I guess I could watch a lets play in a second window and pause when interesting blocks show up but that's really inconvenient.  So I guess if anyone has that sort of thing or knows where I can find it either post it here or shoot me a PM.
