My guess is since it's not in the Doom Palette or in the MM8BDM it rounds it of to the nearest one

Were you using the old version or the color-corrected one I posted last week?  I found some of the RGB values were slightly off of NES standards from the palette I pulled them off of.

I'm not really familiar with doom's graphical limitations though.  Does it really have a limited palette?  That's kinda weird.

That's rather odd.  It's like the red part of the RGB channels are missing or something... all of that should be much more pink/purple.

...and why the hell are you mixing them with airman tiles or carpeting an entire floor with animated fan tiles?   :?

Not a problem.  Actually that one was rather fun, especially the fans.

More like a half-assed version of Axel's copy ability built into a Metool, really.

I have this amusing idea of an entire Wily Castle stage where the only enemies are these guys, each of them being randomly assigned a different copy mode when they spawn.  Completely impractical of course, but awesome.

Actually the more I think about it, the more it seems to lend itself towards a megaman pokemon-ish spinoff.  "Elec-met, I choose you!"

Met Amorph

A Met variant, the Met Amorph is capable of restructuring itself into new configurations by imprinting data from other advanced robot models.  It can thus operate as either a weapon data repository or as an attuned partner/pet for other units.

To be fair I just went through my tiles and found a few places where mine were slightly off-color as well, specifically anywhere I used the darkest shade of gray.  I'm uploading color-corrected versions shortly.

Oddly enough, I think it actually helped Dynamo a bit.  Maybe?  Hmm.

Also, throwing it out, some tilesets needs to be reworked in terms of shading.

Can you be more specific?

Actually, Cold Man tilesets follow all NES restriction, as they were made by MEND (the one who made RM7FC and RM8FC).

Actually no, not so much.

I didn't really like the Cold Man tile sheet you had available because it didn't follow NES restrictions and had some weird color choices in places, so I went ahead and redid it anyway.  Well, that and if I did the rest it would have bugged me not to do it eventually too...

I'll probably use the stage 2 tiles for King's fortress since that's where he's actually fought.

Well, just checking.  I was under the impression that you already had Cold, Tengu and Astro done, and I thought I recently saw someone else was doing Magic.

Burner Man is done.

So MM&B guys, do you need the rest of them done as well or is that it?

At Korby's suggestion I darkened everything.  It all still looks like crap to me (literally with brown replacing the purple) but at least it's a little less glaring, I guess?

I also tweaked a few tiles while I was at it.  Not sure what the hell I was thinking earlier keeping the girders in perspective.

Fire storm is the way to go.  Just jump before you shoot and more often than not the copy will shoot below you then jump right up into the shield.

That doesn't use the NES palette.
