Well, that and it's an open circuit board so anything that produces static (like wool) is a big no-no.

1-Ice
2-Wood
3-Snake
4-Toad
5-Charge
6-Plant
7-Spring
8-Clown
9-Fake
10-Strike

Going back to the subject of Uranus' Textures, there are some textures which I have no clue what to do with them...
In particular, these:

The 3x3 section with wires are just a way to break up large areas that would otherwise just be a solid blah of gray stone.  If the 'windows' in the rock get big enough the broken wire tiles below can be used in a top/bottom pair to give it a little more detail.

The 2 sets of 4 tiles on the right were intended to allow animated block droppers, which should be accompanied by the T/Kamen sprite since they were part of the miniboss.

The darker 3x3 section is just an additional rock texture, more appropriate to a wall that's meant to be off in the distance or a darkened tunnel than the brighter gray tiles would be.

Yes it is; that's what the 3ds is for.  If I buy a console I expect to be playing on my TV.  More than that, it looks awkwardly large and heavy, and is definately a step backwards from the wii's nunchuck layout as far as motion controls go.

Hell, I've got a working NES.

As to the topic, however, I have to say that the controller looks absolutely retarded.

Not suprised by x8.  x7 was so astoundingly awful even by the previous few games' standards that only the truely hardcore fans were willing to take another bite.

I actually suspect the choice of which weapon to take from 9 is the trickiest part, the results of which guide every other choice down the line.  Well, at least for the roughly half of you who are actually following the guidelines, that is.

Why not just have Copy Vision create a bot?

Tengu Blade should probably just fire a secondary close range projectile like Fire Storm does, one that lingers a bit longer but only hits forward rather than orbiting.  That should cover both the extra damage at close range and offer a dash-like option.

Could Copy Vision just spawn a pair of actors with your skin that follow you around and spam buster shots when you shoot anything else, like options from Gradius?  I'm thinking a Junk shield sort of weapon, use then switch to something else.

What's this about MM8? I never actually finished that game but only Tengu and Astro man were carried over.

MM&B's stages are built from scraps of demoted MM8 graphics (though some were more heavily edited than others).

Frost -> Cold
Clown -> Magic
Sword -> Ground
Aqua -> Pirate
Grenade -> Dynamo
Astro -> Astro
Tengu -> Tengu
Search -> Burner

Eh, you're probably right, Ice.

The real problem for almost all these stages and possible gimmicks is mm8 already has nearly all of it covered and it would be a shame to steal the thunder of the eventual official release.  There needs to be an extremely sharp focus on what makes these stages different from their mm8 counterparts.

In other words... This thread is pretty much the same as the favorite weapon thread only this time you can pick only 8 weapons and some items.
Just saying.

Kinda, but I think there's a lot more to it than just a list of favorites:
1)  The limitations mean that you can't just take your favorites from everything because you don't have enough total slots
2)  Some of your favorites might be essentially the same weapon so it makes no sense to take all of them
3)  Secondary necessities like destroying walls and shields are probably not favorites but you're going to want one available for the few times it will come in handy.
4)  Somebody might decide to go with a theme and pick all the fire weapons or something like that.

Also Metal Blade is just about the most useful weapon imaginable but I intentionally left it off my list because having it means everything else is just collecting dust, and what fun is that?
