You're signed up for Oil Slider then. Ashley is working on the Time Slow, and Lakister is going to sprite weapon icons. He's also going to try and dig up tilesets for the maps.

You know, this might be straying way off topic, but so far I haven't understood why some skulltag players hate Cutmanmike with their guts. He made both GvH and MM8BDM, and while I've never played the former, it does seem quite awesome just looking at it. Where did he get his negative reputation?

Or is that a matter which preferably should not be discussed?

It's not supposed to one hit kill in any situation ever!
And I never said that. I was asking why the pattern needed change if you could just alter the damage so it wasn't a OHKO even if you fired it at point blank. Or why the damage was altered when you can't hit with all the projectiles when fired at point blank.

Yeah, but with the damage it deals now, even if all three projectiles hit, it still isn't a OHKO. It only leaves one measly hit point left, granted, but why if what you say is true (which I don't doubt), why was the damage altered as well as the pattern?

It is not a two-hit weapon. I just opened up MM8BDM, booted up the training Sniper Joe, and it's a four hit kill, both when the Joe uses it, and when I wield it. It removes 9 out of your 28 health bars, so getting hit three times will leave you with one HP.

And a fun fact: I just got killed by a normal mega buster using Joe the first time I tried to kill him with a power stone, because dodging at that range is harder. Now consider the fact that an opponent can and often will have far worse weapon, like say, Ice Slasher, Yamato Spear, Fire Storm, Gyro Attack, Top Spin, etc. The only use I see for the weapon right now is to cover my escape when wounded, and in most situations Gemini Laser will cover that better (fire at a wall ahead of you and you're pretty much set).

Also consider the fact that, barring Top Man and Wave Man stage, Power Stone and Top Spin never appear on the same stage, excluding copies given to you by Eddie. Having two close range weapon that are OHKO or close isn't that bad if they rarely appear together anyway.

Yeah, that is a fact. To get around the color limit on the NES they made Mega Man's face a different sprite and pasted it over the base body.

But yeah, that's probably not what you wanted.
Needs some work, but it's definitely not bad. I think you should improve it and make it into a skin.
