MM8BDM Discussion / Re: Regarding The Future
« on: December 31, 2010, 09:00:52 PM »
I got bored of DM, but no one joins TLMS, so I pretty much have to play Roboenza. And cheat servers are the most boring of any servers out there. I really wish there were some CTF servers. I would host one myself, but I can't host due to an unstable IP.

I know how ya feel. Lag likes to jump out at me at random times, if it's not warping people around.

Have you tried playing with 250+ ms, though? Your screen warps maybe half of the time ahead, even though you don't actually warp. This can make navigating the courses harder. And when you do fire, it actually fires about a second or more later. I still wonder how asd manages to do it.

Actually, I was having a lot of lag that day (250+ ms), and my close swipes didn't register. Otherwise, Kapus wouldn't have stood a chance that round.

MM8BDM Discussion / Re: The Unofficial Top-25 Players List
« on: December 31, 2010, 07:01:53 PM »
It doesn't even need to be in an official tournament. Just observe how some of these top 25 people play in the regular matches. If most of the time they're along the top few people as far as frags/wins, then they probably deserve the popularity they get. Whenever I'm in a DM, I usually get around 20 frags when it's a 25 or 30 frag limit if there's at least one good player. I prefer LMS over DM and Duel, though, with my best mode being CTF.

IMO, a top 25 player can win with whatever weapons he or she is provided in LMS. Plus, weapons like Gravity Hold don't show up in LMS, meaning the matches are not quite as broken. In DM, it's sometimes the player that gets the best available weapon that wins (I managed to get several kills in one round of Charge Kick, for example). In LMS, it's pure strategy.

EDIT: I have one more vote than Patchy? That's not right. Then again, it's all a popularity contest...but I'm not better than Patchy (for now).

That annoys me as well when a "good" Roll player is mentioned. It matters not what skin is used. Then again, I get attention myself in the form of "get that fox" or "must kill that fox". lol

Celebi has too many votes, and abuses glitches a lot, so it does not get my vote. I, instead, will vote for these three:

DarkAura
King Yamato
Myself

I've started using SuperTailsMK4 for two reasons:

1. So people don't confuse me with other Tails users.
2. I feel my skills have really improved lately, so this is kind of like a "level up" for me.

Sometimes I also add the "Agent" portion to my username since we have reformed. I only use it when there's other agents in the server I'm in.

MM8BDM Discussion / Re: Major lag on the servers
« on: December 27, 2010, 06:55:08 PM »
I had 250 ping last night on Deathwind's Roboenza Server #1 after I finished recording a video there. I even made a joke by changing my username to Fake King Yamato, since 250 is around the ping he gets at the server (a bit more than 250, actually). The lag was fine in Messatsu's other servers, though.

EDIT: Been getting a lot of lag on any server I've been in besides the one hosted by a friend of mine (Patchy).

MM8BDM Discussion / Re: The UNOFFICIAL Roboenza Guide V2

You find what looks to be a giant fox on the ground. The skin is discolored and the cause of death appears to have been friendly fire. Near it, you see a note...

Date: 12/27/20XX

Man, there's an endless amount of these infected beings that it's becoming a handful for any of us still alive. I just hate the fact Roboenza infects animals, as well. I don't have much time, as I doubt any of my comrades have survived...I must be quick.

1. Camping doesn't work. I've seen many clever hiding spots get sniffed out by the infected beings. It seems as if these infected beings are getting smarter and smarter.

2. Buy time if it is safe to do so. Fire a few shots at the infected being near you while you run if there isn't any more near you. That extra second could save you. Of course, if you take it out, all the better.

3. Do NOT stop running. It takes a few seconds to get your speed going if you stop. Those infected beings will not just wait for you to continue the chase. If you stop, you also risk the chance of getting swarmed. Your chances of survival are better if you try to jump over an infected being rather than try to hold them off.

4. NEVER use Top Spin. I have seen with my own eyes the horror of a mistimed Top Spin. That weapon does not work well against infected beings.

5. Why do some people play around with an infected weapon? We're supposed to help reduce the infection, not spread it. I wonder what goes on in the minds of some people...

6. Most of all, you are never safe any where, even in groups. Some people are not as trustworthy as they... *the letter ends*

Help & Editing / Re: Where is this new Roboenza map pack?

You mean the one Messatsu uses on his second server? He made a topic on it, but it's probably on the third or fourth page of Editing now.

MM8BDM Discussion / Re: Camping

For me, camping in Roboenza is a good way to not draw attention (and of course, not firing at any zombies). Of course, make sure you have an escape route, or you're zombie food once you're found. That's usually why I pick locations that are more open (such as in the water in Gemini Man).

1st: It doesn't explode on contact. It takes TIME and was one of the most useless weapons in Megaman (used only against Megaman(?)/Negaman and GUTSMAN! *DUN NUUUUUUUUN!*)

That doesn't change anything. I know to stay away from bombs, but that's not exactly easy to do either.

Quote from: "tsukiyomaru0"
2nd: It is strong but never to the point of OHKO. Unless you are showered with many people's bombs at the same time.

It did happen when there were a lot of bombs, but I KNOW I get OHKOed with ONE bomb. It has happened more than once.

Quote from: "tsukiyomaru0"
3rd: What needs a nerf more? Crash Bomb or This?

I personally didn't find anything wrong with Crash Bomb, unless you meant the fact knockback can keep the players in place. Well, what can you do about knockback? >_> Hyper Bombs need a nerf more than Crash Bomb.

EDIT: This isn't a suggestion to the versions in general, but rather to the public. Could you guys please host more types of servers besides Roboenza and DM? Both have been overplayed to the point they're not fun anymore.

I think that was the same night that people started hating on foxes (I was pwning in Roboenza)...I guess Celebi just had a bad night. I do wonder what was wrong that made Celebi quit, though. It was not obvious to me what was happening. I saw Celebi later in LTMS, and decided not to bring it up. So maybe things are best left unsaid...

I also agree that it should be split between the two games. Also, YES to The Air in Windy Valley. I think that one is my favorite of all of the songs in Adventure.

Also, E.G.G.M.A.N. is already available in another pack. Is there a chance you could find the version that has lyrics? It's pretty catchy.

Hyper Bombs badly need a nerf. They should be powerful, but not instant kill in DM. I often got killed just by being near a bomb and AT full health.

Also, I would prefer Charge Kick to use up a tiny bit more ammo, since it's constantly used for escape. I used the weapon during Roboenza when I was the only one still alive. I still had a W Tank left when all of the infected robots died, and I had used nothing but Charge Kick when I ran out of Rush Coil and Item 1 to escape.

For buffs, Blizzard Attack and Power Stone. I still use them from time to time, but it takes forever to kill someone now.
