Skins & Bots etc / Re: Official Request Thread

Little Mac. Dat would be sweet. I don't know why no one has made Punch-Out!! skins yet.

3
Name: Ran Cossack
Skin: Ran Cossack
Color:
Attack: Charges up his Cossack Buster, which at full power, is a OHKO attack within the line of fire.
Super Jump: Recoil from the Cossack Buster can send him flying across the map or high in the air depending on where it's pointed.
Rage: The Taint of Communism! Ran will throw sickles and hammers (may or may not be together as in the symbol) and kill anyone who gets hit.
Passive Ability: When he takes 100 damage, he beams in to another part of the map and leaves a corpse behind. If a corpse falls on a player, that can kill as well.
Health: Very low due to his really, really cheap Communist parts.

MM8BDM Discussion / Re: Weapons Damage per Second Chart
« on: September 07, 2011, 09:58:49 PM »
The damage values shown are those results gathered from continuously firing the weapon for 2 minutes at each weapon's normal rate.  I'll go ahead and do the math here so people don't have to run to their calculators. Weapons that had different results for multiple trials will have averages for all results as posted by Savior. If I find my own time to conduct this, I'll use my own results.

Damage per second/Damage per minute (rounded to one decimal place)

Mega Man 1 Weapons

Mega Buster: 46.1/2765
Fire Storm (Both): 90.7/5440
Fire Storm (Shot): 44.8/2690
Fire Storm (Hugs): 49.2/2951.5
Ice Slasher: 130.9/7854
Thunder Beam (one): 45/2700
Thunder Beam (all): 135/8100

Mega Man 2 Weapons:

Metal Blade: 50.5/3031, 200.2/6006
Quick Boomerang: 98.5/5912.5
Crash Bomb: 86/5160
Leaf Shield: 19.51170
Time Stopper: 0/0

Mega Man 3 Weapons:

Magnet Missile: 36/2160
Needle Cannon: 71.7/4302

Mega Man 4 Weapons:

Flash Stopper: 3.3/196
Dive Missile: 9/540
Skull Barrier: 0/0

Mega Man 5 Weapons:

Star Crash: 108.6/6516, 107.1/6426

I'm just rarely serious cause I play for fun, not for frags unlike some people ¬_¬

How to tell if one plays for frags in Roboenza:

1) Kill a zombie and say there's a cure even if there isn't one, though it works better if there is one.

2) Watch and see who lets the zombie go get it and who tries to blast them to bits. If there's an obituary before they reach you/the cure, you have your frag player.

Mega Man Discussion / Godot's Basement--Mega Man X: Command Mission
« on: August 08, 2011, 02:33:05 AM »
I bought this game at my local Gamestop for $6 just this evening. I played it for over 40 minutes. I already want to shove it back down the throats of whoever made it. Hell, I'll settle for the team behind Mega Man X6. If it wasn't for their brilliant idea to make another X game behind Keiji Inafune's back, this atrocity would've never made it to shelves. They could have stopped at X8 and things would have been just fine!

I'll add on to this review as I go on in this game, but here are reasons why I already hate the game.

First, the first area of the game is so dark, it's hard to see around the place. At least they had the decency to put a map in the bottom right so that I have some idea of what's going on, but that doesn't help very much with the second and biggest reason I hate this game. Random enemy encounters. They aren't difficult, but when they pop up at an average rate of one per minute, it gets repetitive after a while. That and it automatically reorients me after the fight so I have to take a few seconds to adjust that and take the chance of, surprise, another fucking enemy encounter. Screw you, Command Mission team and the horse you rode in on. Oh, and reason number three is that weapon energy always starts on 25%. At least in the first area. Regardless of whether you built up 100% or drained all of it with your last attack, you start at 25% and charge up 25% when it comes to your turn in the rotation. At least it also has the courtesy of showing the turn order and how it changes when you use certain attacks.

Because of the clusterfuck of random encounters, I can't figure out how to deactivate the lock on the third floor door. Can anyone help me with that so I can continue this god-awful game?

Roc does present strong reasons and methods of restarting...I will consider a reboot once I return from a retreat I will leave for next week. Until then, the Megalympics will hereby close until further notice. I'm sorry to have disappointed everyone who was truly interested and ready to compete, but one man does not a team make.

Let me try to predict the remaining classes:

Pyro: Fire Man (just needs goggles and a full face mask and he's good)
Demoman: Drill Man (I can imagine him with an eyepatch and a Scottish accent.)
Medic: Roll (Can borrow a lab coat from Dr. Light)
Soldier: Sniper Joe (Stick a bombshell helmet on him and hand him a rocket launcher)

Seeing huge disputes over whether or not we must require Skype, inactivity that has crippled this competition and just the overall disinterest, maybe I should just end it now and put this hopeless contest out of its misery. What do you think?
