Not really from a game, but it's my favorite Ocean Loader (C64) tune:

Metal version of Kraid's theme from Metroid 1 because it truly captures its epicness:

One of my very favorite Mega Man songs:

A prime example why we need more symphonic rock/metal soundtracks (all of the below):

That last one literally gave me goosebumps when the speedy rock/metallic part kicked in. Symphonic stuff, mixed with rock or metal, is just so overwhelmingly awesome. I hope this will become prominent in future movies. Only know one movie which has a symphonic metal soundtrack (Kull The Conquerer).

Sorry for the amount of links.  :p I love video game music too much to limit myself to 3-or-so songs. But rest assured, if I make another post in this thread, it will be shorter.

I will have to apologize in advance for this. Not only is the post long, but could also be very offensive. But this was meant solely as defense (for great justice), not a blatant attack. I strongly disagree with you, is all.

I dont agree on the religion part... Im a religious person myself and i dont do any messed up shit. Its people with messed up minds that screw all those things over. Its just the extremists that take it a step to far.
I also know non religious people that mess up way more so saying religious people are idiots is hypocrite.

2: Racism. In my country we have an idiot trying to rule the country and shut off the borders or whatever... While i see dutch people screw over the country way more then foreign people. (yes sometimes i hate other dutch people)

Wow. You're quite the hypocrite yourself there. Also, talk about pitting people into groups! So if some non-religious people screwed up more than most religious people you know, it's hypocritical for any non-religious person to call religious people idiots? Your logic is beyond flawless, mister.

HINT: No. Listen to what the fuck you're saying, for the love of God. Non-religious people aren't a part of some freakin' group, like a political party or anything. We can say whatever the hell we want. There's nothing and no one to truly associate us with here. We're independent individuals. We don't share the same beliefs as every other non-religious person or live our lives the same, if that's what you're thinking. No non-religious person could ever represent all non-religious persons. It's about not believing and not to believe in something certain. You can look at a religious person and associate him with the books he follow, but how can you possibly look at an atheist and just sort of...associate him with what he doesn't follow, and pitting all of those non-followers into a group? Bah. I guess it's also hypocritical for any German to call others bad people, because Hitler was German? But even that would make more sense. At least people would have ground in their own ignorance. Oh, and I guess I could accuse you of hypocrisy for the fact alone that I met that one Christian online who was really sadistic. He was clearly a hypocrite, so you're also a hypocrite for calling us hypocrites. Hell yeah.

It's not fair at all. To be a hypocrite it must be much more personal. YOU have to personally be as bad as these individual non-religious people for it to be HYPOCRITICAL to call religious people idiots -- it's not enough if "your kind" is that way. Don't pit us into a group. And on that note, this reinforces the idea of you being a hypocrite; you hate prejudice and how people are prejudging, yet you evidently could be accused of it yourself. On a much grander scale than clothing to boot.

Just...Damn, bro. This is beyond naïve. Naïve and ignorant.

Also, the attacking of Justin Bieber is very childish. He's just a kid who sings, and lots of girls and youngsters like him. Yeah, so what? What the hell makes you hate him so much that you wish he didn't exist? Seriously? What did he ever do to any of you? He brings joy to some people, and that's about it. Have you been forced to listen to him or something? This wish seems to not be based on any firm grounds. I find it sickening when people who aren't 14 or younger hates a kid like this because he's popular. Sure, you may wish that he didn't become famous so that you wouldn't ever have to hear about him -- but to wish the kid would never been born? Not very moral.

Keep in mind that this isn't coming from a fan. I listen mainly to melodic death metal - I'm defending him as a humanbeing.

Yours now and forever,
Justice Man (now also known as Taking-Shit-Too-Seriously Man)

P.S. I hate myself. I'm an asshole. I want to be a good person, but I doubt I can if a single forum post, probably not even meant to hurt anyone (and from the looks of it, that was just your own defense), upsets me so and makes me hurt them. I'm generally considerate, but I don't think I'm very tolerant. If I see injustice, I call it out the best as I can, venting any anger, as opposed to ignoring it and let everyone (except me) be happy. I guess I'm a bit egotistical. And I hate arguements to boot, yet I always find myself in them. So sorry. Please take my words with a grain of salt; while you should in my opinion consider them, try not to take them TOO personally. I am easily upset, keep that in mind.

Whatever.

MM8BDM Discussion / Re: The OFFICIAL MM8BDM Gamercard!!
« on: November 07, 2010, 04:34:44 PM »
Pfft. It's nothing like saying every second word in a different language. You realize how common "haha" is, yes? That spelling of a laughing sound is quite international. But imagine if you grew up and it was always "jaja" (how global it is pretty irrelevant; factors of subjectivity come in play; just like you can still feel nostalgic towards something that predates you - you and you alone matters in your own world). It's hardly even a part of language. I fully understand if that's a habit hard to get rid of, and I fully understand if you don't even want to. Do you think you would always write, say, "keke" (I realize that's a stereotype, but I'm making a point) on an Asian site instead of "haha"?

I can understand if people find "jaja" annoying (reading it like Yah-Yah or Dja-Dja), but don't make such a big deal out of how people insist on using it.

Sincerely yours,
Justice Man

Or games like ninja turtles where if you go off the screen and come back the enemies that are killed are reseted and are alive.. goddamnit.
Sounds like Mega Man to me.

Don't you just hate games where everything is a 1-hit K.O.? Well, I do.
I don't. Huge fan of shoot 'em ups, and 90% of them are like that. They're difficult, but never unfairly difficult. All you need is reflexes.

An example of unfairly difficult: 8 Eye's [sic]. Poor hit detection among more makes it terribly hard, and generally just...terrible.

Anything that seems easy but makes you snap your controller when you can't beat it even the 50th time you've tried.
I second this. Have had similar experiences so many times. Always frustrating as shit.

Long repetitive searching sequences
I second this, too, even though I love action-adventure.

Annoying sounds when your health is to low. SO ANNOYING
Agreed here as well. But I personally love Navi. :)

Quote from: "PressStart"
In MegaMan, many people waste time 'farming' health items before a boss. This slows down the gameplay, and feels more like a chore than an adventure.
I might be one of few, but I actually like farming. I also like grinding. Both of these things make it feel MORE like an adventure rather than vice-versa, IMO. Because you actually have to get out there and fight for what you want (which I guess you already do, by having to beat bosses to gain weapons, but still), as opposed to just have everything handed to you and all you need to do is go down this one path and kill everything. I mean, the level design in Mega Man is usually damn linear anyway. This adds some sense of non-linearity. Actually stopping somewhere, taking your time before progressing. It's a touch of realism that I appreciate.

I love farming as long as it doesn't get tedious, like when the items you want doesn't show up. Oh, speaking of which. Screw you, Shin Megami Tensei: Imagine Online. I remember searching for like an hour for three of the same items. So damn annoying.

I love grinding, as long as it doesn't get too ridiculous. Still, it's so damn satisfying when you've gotten served by a boss twice, decide to go out grind for a bit, come back, and show that bastard who's THE boss. Makes it all worthwhile.

Known in game and online as Koal. Will sometimes swap out my name for something different.
Will use Fireman, Darkman1, Diveman and Waveman's skin though I will change to a skin no one is using if people is using any of the said skin's.
Watch out for this guy, at least in Roboenza mode. He's quite the pro.

But enough talk. Have at you!

Yes, pointlessness is pretty sweet. Although I suppose it could serve one purpose...

You could make the image, when used as a signature on another forum, a clickable link to this here site (like illustrated below). A good way of introducing people to CutStuff. And the prettier your GamerCard, the bigger chance someone gets interested.

Code: [Select]

Works on most forums.

And yeah, this topic should rather be called "My official gamercard", "the unofficial gamercard", "my gamercard", "the gamercard thread" or something along those lines -- certainly not like this, with the emphasis on "OFFICIAL" there too, like 100% indicating it's the site's official gamercard template or generator or something.

Whats the gamercard used for actually?
Forum signatures or something?

That is generally what people use them for. It's kind of a mini-profile. It is pretty pointless when it's related to a game without a friend-system or anything (although it's honestly not any more pointless than the use of an avatar), but in that case it can just be a fun thing. It shows a little about the user. Some people like to share somewhat pointless information with others -- I do too, in some cases.

It might have something to do with embracing individuality and wanting to be special, which is probably the same reasons we insist on using avatars (and create original nicknames for our internet personas). But let's not get into psychoanalysis here.

Technically, in the game, the bots and skins have the "Megaman" or "Cutman" because skulltag doesn't like spaces in names.

Ah, I wasn't even thinking of that, though. None of this was at all intended as criticism. :) But thanks for letting me know!
