Well nobody really attempts to host and/or play TLMS, LMS or CTF so it doesn't help that I would naturally defer to Saxton hale classes because I at least find it enjoyable when people aren't trying to stall the ever loving shit out of the game. That and I cannot really stand the feel of vanilla gameplay. I can only really tolerate it in TLMS and LMS mode but its practically unbearable in DM where its just run run run and shoot shoot shoot. Classes offer's a way to mix it up so that its not so mindnumbingly boring and insufferable. But I do agree that there comes a point when classes should stop and other gamemodes should take over.


And because I apparently cannot say this enough: ITS THE SAXTON HALES THEMSELVES THAT ARE AT FAULT!

We have four hale's that play almost identically aside from their rages! All the melee hales are easy to stall because they have no way of ever catching a Toadman or Quickman that's decided to stall the game, wasting everyone's time and in general making everyone loath and despise Saxton hale classes even more. If you guys would just give the existing melee saxton hales a ranged secondary while keeping their melee primary and start introducing more ranged hales there wouldn't be such a huge issue with the game mode. The problem will practically solve itself and we wouldn't need these unnecessary nerf's. Cloudman takes FOUR lightning strikes now to recharge his energy bar and poor gyro is practically useless now thanks to being nerfed so heavily. Springman and Crashman's jump nerf's were completely unnecessary as well as Darkman1's unwarranted jet nerf! Try fixing the Hale's instead of trying to fix the classes is all I'm really saying.

I think Ninja spy can stand to lose his voice clips, but I think for the most part they should stay. I see nothing wrong with them and it's really one of the few thing's that really separate's a few hales. Saxton Hale, Gilgamesh and Christian brutal sniper being the biggest offenders of this.
But yeah, Ninja spy's rage needs a big change because it does hardly anything for him now. Full invisibility would be a bit unbalanced if it lasted as long as his ghetto invisibility did.
And Tsuki, though while I like the idea you have to remember those smoke clouds were pitifully small and hurt you just as much as they hurt the enemy.

What Slender needs is an actual rage and to be even less visible. I like the whole concept of slender but its just poorly executed.
On a side note, Ninja Spy's rage needs to make him COMPLETELY invisible rather then having poor man's invisibility. Any player with a good eye can spot a Ninja Spy using his rage. Also we could give him a secondary weapon too. Shuriken's, throwing knives, anything really.

And while I'm at it, I'm gonna suggest a Hale because we need less TF2 and melee Hale's. Seriously, we got too many of both of those.

Always hated vanilla deathmatch and always will. But yes, I agree with Linnie. I'd love to see some Vanilla CTF or TLMS hosted. The Saxton hale craze will die down eventually as all things do and something else will show up to take its place.

Doom water is the only way to go. Also, the rooms are very bland as of now. Spice them up a little, make them interesting.
The cockroach in Junkman's room was the single most exciting thing you added to ANY of the rooms.

Sean its just Balrog, Mr.Shadow and a few other people that really don't like this new wave of players. For the most part, I think most among us in the 8BDM community don't mind them at all for the most part. I know I don't mind them, they are more well behaved then Mr.Shadow is making them out to be, when they talk its mostly just gg. Also, I'm just speculating who will make a video next and making a statement that the Regular doom community is going to flip their shit when they see how popular 8BDM is going to become in less then a month.

Though I'd do wonder if Slyfox would do something in the Cutstuff forum.

In all honesty, I think getting Slyfox to join could potentially be a disaster. I can only imagine how many people would join cutstuff just to try and get his attention and the problems that said people would cause for the cutstuff moderators and administrators. No offense to Slyfox but we are interested in getting people who are interested in Eight bit deathmatch and its community, not Slyfox and his video's. Though it will be up to him on whether or not he wants to actually join cutstuff and get involved in our community, I personally think its in cutstuff's best interests that he not join at all. Again, no offense to Slyfox.


Anyways, I'm Koal. I'm a rather unimportant member of the Eight bit deathmatch community. All I really do is just hop on and play  games with the other members of the community. I rarely post on Cutstuff, if at all.

This is one of those rare occasions in which I will actually make a post on cutstuff


This massive influx of new players is nice but what would be nicer is if they visited cutstuff and got more involved with the community. I would love to see 32 man roboenza server's again. I've also noticed that a few among us are acting xenophobic thwords the "homies", saying that they suck at the game and should leave. I would like to note that we ALL sucked at one point. Most of us have been playing a very long time I've been around since v1b and we got few if any new players at all. Though the whole homie cult thing is kinda irking and obviously a few of them are only playing so they can end up in one of Slyfox's video's, quite a few of them seem genuinely interested in the game. Lets try to be friendly with them and hopefully we can get them to stick around.
