Make a new file and make sure it has transparent background (most image editors have an option for this when you create a new file), then paste the sprites there and erase the whiteness. Or get Paint.net and use the magic wand tool.

Okay, I'll be more specific.

Maps don't lag servers, they just slow Skulltag's loading time a bit and in some occasions add more stress to the server depending on how the maps are handled (wads inside wads).

What does lag the server are actors coexisting in said maps, like enemies and projectiles, which will be a problem in Invasion due to it's invasion-ish nature. In the public build Big Eyes could shoot around 10 crystal eyes simultaneously which exploded in 4-6 more shards, that's a prime example of what could lag the server to no end.

And I don't have to count the maps to prove my point, so I'll just ignore your last comment.

Considering that MM8BDM itself has more than 30 maps, no, I don't think they will.

Yeah, finding the sound clips is going to be a pain in the ass. But I really want to use custom sounds on the skin, a taunt at least, so I'll try to record them myself if I don't find any on the net.

Alright I'm going to use the transparent one for the skin then. Almost done with the sprites, I just need to stop procrastinating even more and finish the rest of the rotations.

In other news, I finally tidied up the first post. I added a list of what I'm working on at the moment and an estimate of the progress I have on each skin.

I'm not sure if it was mentioned before but some classes, like Napalm Man, don't have an ammo bar on horizontal resolution. Was this intended?

Skulltag's master server seems to be experiencing some problems. This sort of thing has been happening for a few days straight, but it'll fix itself so you just need to wait a bit. Anyways, it works on my end now, so it should be fixed on yours too hopefully.

Now that I finished most of my nostalgia game runs and got through some irl issues, I can come back to my lil dark corner and do stuff.

Anyways, I need to ask you guys something. Which style looks better for this skin?

I'm more into the 1st row in terms of purrdy, but the 2nd would look better in-game. What do you think?

Just to add up to what Chaos said.
I'd recommend Slade instead of Slumped. It's way better in most aspects and if my desktop can handle it, then anything can, so requirements for such a small tool should be no problem.
Also, study and practice DECORATE and ACS coding. You can do this by looking inside mods with Slade/SlumpEd or reading ZDoom Wiki for reference. Of course, this requires a bit of patience, even though it's easy level programming. If you have a specific question about DECORATE and ACS feel free to ask on the help subforum. And by the way I think this is on the wrong place.

No, not really. To be honest, it was built off that concept, but rebuilding Doom on MM8BDM would be tedious, and I don't see why it's a bad idea anyways. It's just a weapon pack with a few twists, but it's nowhere near finished so I can't really say what's going to be in since I don't know myself.

Bump with a preview of something I've started working on recently.

It's a glimpse of a game mode I'm planning on doing in the near future. I'm using Eriance's shotgun design for this one, since it's just plain awesome. But before continuing I need to ask him for permission to use his design, since he stated no one could use his weapon sprites on a released project until the next beta release of his. Besides, this was meant to be a weapon for my own amusement but expanded on to something good enough to guarantee a release. Like always, feedback is appreciated.

I just hope this is more balanced than YD's. I just gave them a try this morning and I pretty much scored 80% of the frags on my team spamming tops. Sure, it's fun, but I'd like to see something more organized. I know Korby can produce some good quality work, so I totally support this.
