First of all, port forwarding is not going to cause a connectivity problem between two PCs on the same network. You only need to worry about port forwarding on your router if you want PCs from outside of your network (i.e., the Internet) to be able to connect to your MM8BDM server.
Could you post a screenshot of the Host tab of the launcher for computer 1, please? Also, are both computers able to connect to MM8BDM servers on the Internet? I couldn't tell if you were only referring to one or both as being able to connect, up in the first post.

And on Computer 1: Unknown challenge (2) from 192.168.0.102:10667. Ignoring IP for 10 seconds.Someone who understands Skulltag will be able to better find the solution to this, I think. It seems to me that message indicates the server is receiving packets from the other PC (and so, the one you're trying to run the server on seems to have its firewall configured to accept incoming connections on whichever UDP port you've set MM8BDM to use). However, the only thing I've been able to come up with through a Google search was that there are apparently versions of Skulltag (the Doom II engine MM8BDM is using) which are "not network compatible." But I don't know if there was ever a release of MM8BDM which used one of those Skulltag versions.
