If i'll ever get to trading at all im doubtfull i'll concentrate on the item's actual money value as trading point. I dont care as long as its either fun or something cool i want.
I do wonder if there are fancy any-class glasses or goggles of some sorts? Always had a liking for those in any game that had em...

Oh, and i finnaly managed to host a server, despite what is being said in the window, that lag is apparently coming from his side, though i'm doubtfull if it will ever be that US-friendly, as its hosted in Europe.

Sure took me a fair bit of Googling and DOS windows to set it up though.

That doesn't matter, because the Phlog finally got nerfed!!!!!

Hallelujah!!!#!$!!!
This sounds plain worrying. (And like poor testing.) I do hope weapons dont dominate the game like that.

Hm, had no hat drop during the usual practise yet, though i unlocked some achievement weapons/items and found a Spycicle, which i hear comes in handy, hm, and some crappy demoman boots that take up the main weapon in trade for maximum turning ability during the charge up of the secondary weapon. And 20 extra hp.

Anyone know some good hints on how to host a server though? All people tell me is that it is yelling at them that it is a LAN server, while it shouldnt be. sv_lan is on 0, hostport or something is set to whatever i use for Skulltag, and i even set tv_port to 10666(ST port) as well. Maybe it only takes certain ports or my router sucks at opening certain ports, as my Skulltag server often needs to run off virtual servers and port forwarding only has a 25% chance of even considering to work. (Using DMZ(De-Militairized Zone, or something) didnt prove to work very well either.)

At this rate im thinking its my router being shitty, and TF2 being picky about not accepting virtual server stuff the router is capable of. Oh well, atleast got some good practise on the bots, getting better at the Sniper a bit every time.
I wonder if someone could host a TF2 server for Cutstuff members, most likely with a password, of course, and maybe auto-managing bots allowing practise even with 1-2 people.

Wow, at this point if Obama wasnt still there it would be a live recreation of the South Park episode where there's votes between two shitty things, only difference being not voting wont get you killed. So i guess Obama is gonna win this all the way probaly. Hm, and that Paul guy wanted to give up parks, libraries and schools? I thought he was better then that.

Im also very curious what other insane stuff Santorum is spouting out what 'should' be required, just for laughs i guess. Good thing any elections/voting here dont have half the nutcases they do in the US (like Santorum)...

There are other places i suppose. Though it sure fits the theme of 2012, "the world is coming to an end!" or "the sky is falling!" stuff like that. Seems to be a stuck habit of people every half to full year from now on. Though things sure seem to be going downhill from here.

Normally i'd edit the previous post but its about to go to page 2 and it serves as a small revival.
So, last time i heard, its Obama, this Mitt (Romney?) guy and... Santorum!? Respectively 1 to 3rd place? How did that fool Santorum get so far? Hm... Is Mitt any better then Obama?

Whats the current standing i wonder, at this rate im guessing Obama is getting re-elected and ready to sign more controversial right-reducing bills, as well as militairy bills, etc. Whatever the case i hope that paranoid Santorum guy wont make it, so far i recall he tried all sorts of questionable stuff. Was kinda hoping that Ron Paul guy with his goal of increasing the rights or something would make it, ah well.

Looks like we only reduced the damage that was able to happen. The power to remove websites may fortunately not be in the hands of many, many corporations, but it seems the Government is quite capable of it, though i guess that seems somewhat logical. Lets just hope they know how to use it... Though considering some of the people running for President... Ugh, this whackjob Santorum, really?

As for ACTA, nothing going on yet, people waiting for the moment to finish it off or it will end up beyond our reach. Seems Canada is having an bill of its own though its being pushed back quite fiercely.

Hm, killing people is easy (ussually), though teamwork is harder to learn, i suppose. Kinda shows in GVH, if even just 2 people worked as an team(teamwork in GVH is, unfortunately, rare, or coincidental with just being in the same area to kill someone)(like me and Zocker vs professional human players who know how to run), it turns the tide quite well in that team's favor.

Guess it might be worth a try if i can find an fairly easy place to start, more or less. Didnt imagine you playing TF2 though, with your sattelite ping and all. Wonder if there's a newbie-friendly server or something that kinda helps in learning how to act as an team, or good spots for sniping/engineer stuff placement. Though with some common sense i can guess having sniper cover, a restock machine, sentry, heavy, medic, etc defending a point it'll be hard to take it over, just to learn the more finer tricks of the game... As personally im not a great fan of jumping right in to get slaughtered, i tend to prepare, if possible.

Hm, considering the whole atmosphere of "get the (best) item, item X or else", i wonder if it even was worth installing TF2 for the sake of trying it since Steam was on it for a while anyway.
Sounds like you'll have to fight foes twice as strong if they got certain setups, makes me doubt the fun and balance the game might have.

Did gave the tutorials a spin though, and some offline play vs bots, seem to be getting the hang of atleast the soldier and sniper a little, or the heavy sometimes. Failed miserably on bots with the Spy though, take one person/sentry gun down and they all just gun you down, and bots seem to prefer hanging around in groups.

Oh well perhaps it'll get better later on. The mouse was sure damn hard to set faster though... Someone to practise with and/or learn from might help, could probaly even setup a server if i know what ports to open. (Though if it'll hold 10-12 people, thats another story, it starts lagging on Skulltag at 9-10 already!)

Ah, you're almost never around when i am, then again this world isnt seemingly as active as the previous one when it was new. Hm...

And i've put up a trade-offer-sign thing at the bottom of my treehouse/fortress, offering store items up to 40 redstone in worth for 100 Snowballs, as they're just too monstrously far. Should be a good deal for whoever knows an snowy area. Gonna be hard to take down blazes otherwise.

Well that worked but it did have the effect however, of returning the Nether to its total and complete original untainted form, save for the portal that was already there, though the chest was gone i think. It didnt seem to reset the overworld though, or atleast all the Glowstone i gathered was still there in the store and storage.

If it repeats fairly soon i suggest seeing if the Nether is causing this, wonder if it reset the overworld block-wise by any chance...

No problem logging in so far, though sometimes Minecraft freezes up either a little or alot. So far only when im going about on the grass opposite of the ladder going up to my treehouse/store/tower thing, especially when landing from high onto that spot, it may randomly start freezing up, most likely FPS-wise, though. Maybe its just too many details like transparancy, etc...

Everything else is working just fine though. Do hope we'll get the addons of last server back on again, especially the locking addon.
Wonder if the whole treehouse theme will catch on and we all start having bridge-connected tree houses, heh. Maybe even a few Iron Golems as guards, i already put one as personal guard on my tower, being the only entrance into the treehouse.

Edit: The server is inaccesible. I keep getting various time-out or connection failed kinds of messages, yet the damn thing still appears in the list with the welcome message. Its been persisting for 1-2 hours now...

I really should take a look though a few new games have kept me awfully busy, one of the games being a dungeon crawler with option of uh, perma-death, and a roguelike difficulty setting, well, it'll keep me busy alright. Havent even touched the expansion of it yet, and it has more levels then the previous one!

Any interesting news though, or anyone found that cliche temple of doom i built in a tree-filled zone that isnt a swamp? Cant imagine the server being very active anymore untill another update strikes, but its taking forever...
Wonder if i'll ever find the time to build another one, let alone several perhaps!

Edit: Finnaly, an update! Considering it has a new biome, and some other stuff that wont appear in existing worlds, probaly, i hope a new world will come up soon.

Well i suppose the classes are pretty equal by now, though some have pokemon-style weaknesses vs certain attacks (aka Jitter hates railguns). Personally i prefer Jitterskull though, as with some tactics and thought (and patience, ussually) its possible to get almost anyone by suprise, save for the most tactical players, though Ghoul teamwork gets em down fair enough.

Hm, perhaps someone should organize a mapping project to either recreate the maps if possible visually and technically, or make new maps for it (the better if urban-looking areas can be created, somehow, those kinda suit GVH). Assuming that project is complete.

Hm, and wouldnt hitscan be a better/traditional method instead of fast projectiles simular to a portion of the Hunter's lightning bow code? Assuming there's appropiate smoke puff sprites. It may not be uh, 8-bit, but if you're going for traditional...

Not quite sure if thats the actual name, but so far im aware its either the green jumping thing (most likely) or the firefly creature you're referring to. Though neither seem to attack players, the only thing they can be related with to death is during their own death they will turn Brightman's stage completely dark (with lethal falls) or bright, the green thing spitting firework on death that should lighten up the stage (untill the firefly comes?) and the firefly to darken things to pitch black.

So it kinda seems like rumors or blatant lies.

Hm, seems possible to do so, though tricky on some maps. Though you'll have to ask all the map authors, or recreate very similar-looking maps based on theirs with some credits, that might work too, i assume.
And if you're going author hunting i suggest checking for names in here, the Skulltag forums and the ZDoom forums. Maybe there's more but those should be a good start.

Speaking of that map specifically, if it uses a few doom textures, that might be tough, and otherwise, im doubtfull the doom-y textures fit in with MM8BDM's 8-bit style. What version anyway? The one found in GVH, which i minorly edited for easier movement on the Human's part and general balance (do hope you dont mind that, figured the edit was too small to ask), or the original? (Cant make you choose of course, just curious.)

And is it me or is that 8-bit Jitterskull a bit too small? Still quite hopefull of an 8-bit recreation of GVH though, as the doom crowd seems to prefer NS's quantity over quality, and there isnt one for MM8BDM anyway, not map-wise, in any case. Would bring back the good ol days, even if only for a while... Heh.
