The Ghoul's Forest / Re: The Hunter: My thoughts on him in V2B5
« on: October 29, 2009, 05:59:07 PM »
Hmm... I didnt get a decent fight out of a hunter yet because of all the JITTERRAPE!!!!! :P

But, seriously now, the teleportation thing does seem a bit... spammable. Small delay to it, they could just teleport to your back and backstab you with a dirty lightning arrow (or so i assume), if any still have the skill left, as they still rely on ice.
Speaking of ice, the spread was way smaller then expected, but on decent range i can only hope it wont drain 150 hp in one go, rather a big amount.

Meh, his speed is serverly annoying, but any human thankfully can be sandwitched between ghouls or caught in a corner, GVH requires more strategic thinking then you see at first glance.
And perhaps... Killing 2 or more ghouls with normal arrows should give archivement? I mean, who ever uses those? It might encourage more use.

Less Jitterskull pushing... Oh yes...

That pushing was an MAJOR annoyance that kept getting me killed in stupid ways, besides, its hard enough to reach a human aware of your location without having them hide behind blocking walls. I havent given it a try yet, gonna download it now, so i hope this will be fun, hehe...

Matrix + Ghouls? Very interesting, but i dont think we'll see ghouls doing an epic dodging of a flurry of bullets, in particular not a Jitterskull, altrough you'd think a skull that size can take bullets without trouble. :P

But still curious if matrix and ghouls can even be combined. Would be interesting if a comedy series of GVH was made.
Maybe you could make an Uncle Jitterskull too, change original Jitterskull's sprite a bit, add an pipe, etc, and there's our good ol uncle Jitterskull. :P
Hmm... Too bad i cant map quite well for Doom, but i hope to see some funny video's. :P

Anything Goes / Re: What's your name on Skulltag?
« on: October 27, 2009, 03:37:52 PM »
The same name as i'm using here, but i never really use any tags or such.

Hm... Player huh? Good way of disguising yourself. :P

Hey, regardless of preferring the ghoul side, as well as loving to splatter people into millions of pieces (love the gibs), i do care for balance! (And no creeper screenrape :P)

But yeah... Kinda difficult to add even more things, unless you decide to add, uhh, (possibily optional) changes to not so much gameplay related things, such as looks. (Like that pimp hat idea :P)

I'd suggest anti-camping abilities, but with Frostbite (DEAR GOD HOPEFULLY :P) having an effective anti-camping shot, and... yeah... The other ghouls can do quite good depending on the map.
Hmm... One thing comes to mind, you could make some ghouls easier to use, somehow. Just like that creeper stun effect. Hope that balance wad that's supposed to add HP/power/etc to the team with the lowest members will work well at some point, has it improved since the new ST version?

I wouldnt mind both idea's, L4D style survival (with a big but linear map, and plenty of supplies, and some unique events, i guess?), of course, the ghouls should probaly respawn. Maybe a ghoul that acts similar to the witch in L4D can be added, that's best off avoided (and probaly not player controlled).

The playable boss class vs large group of humans idea is also nice, but players will be quite difficult as an boss, it is likely one of the two sides will rape the other with well used abilities, while most bosses hit like a truck, yet they're stupid and/or avoidable.

I hope for some L4D-ish gameplay, hehe... Maybe it would even work if it was like normal survival coop, except with ghouls, of course.

The Ghoul's Forest / Re: Jitterskull guide/tips
« on: October 23, 2009, 02:10:33 PM »
Well, maybe you'll latch on to his face and get the proper oppertunity to rape then them, heh. Altrough i did add that little thing in the main post as well, i'd love to see the tactic get some use, but there arent any teams that dedicate themselves to having an tactic. Would be kinda neat if there ever was one, heh, the possibilities.

Hmm... The only reason i tend to use my charge attack against creepers is, well, because they're on the ground, Jitterskull cant jump or teleport trough them, so i ram them out of the way, kinda. :P
Speaking of latching on to faces, that would make a exellent ghoul idea, if a ghoul could latch itself to an surface (for all i care onto a human, unaware of the ghoul's presence! Only to be warned when too late, heh, but i guess the idea is best saved for the suggestions topic).

Well, other then that, i dont got anything to add to the main post, but the Creeper Cannon is mentioned indeed in the main post. :P

Yes, i think i added that earlier to the post too, somewhere. :P
And i'm quite accurate too, altrough my accuracy depends highly on ping, else the moves delay, no matter how fast you react the SERVER will think you chose elsewhere to charge, or such things with low ping, highly annoying.

Oh yeah, if there's anything that should be added, make a suggestion! (if it isnt added already. :P)
And my name idea for launching creepers with Jitterskull would be Creeper Cannon. :P

The Ghoul's Forest / Re: Who's that Ghoulymon?!
« on: October 20, 2009, 03:33:23 PM »
Ah, so he has an (HOPEFULLY) usefull anti camping tactic. If not, maybe make it clip trough walls or a projectile that explodes into a bunch of moving cold air upon impact (doesnt have to be instakill if it hits a human). :P
Oh, and will this ice breath also drain the ghoul team's hp? That would be kinda not so convenient.
Hmm... Maybe it'll give me another ghoul to use kinda like Jitterskull, always handy if you can smoke out the cowards.

And a melee class would get utterly destroyed if he tried to engage ghouls in melee combat, in particular Jitterskull and Sjas would be difficult to hit with melee, Creeper would be too small.
All i hope for is that its not gonna be overpowered, nor have instakills.
But i'm sure i'll find plenty of annoyances, flaws, or possible abuses on it, the ghoul team always suffers from humans being powered up.

Waiting 10 days is nothing compared to waiting for Skulltag to puke out a new version. :P
And apparently my guess on the winning name was correct, heh. Well, its only a matter of hours before he gets revealed. What next, will people have to guess the human's name too? Twice in a row gets kinda old with these long things. :P

The Ghoul's Forest / Re: Who's that Ghoulymon?!

Since someone already knows what he's called, i'm gonna bet what name it'll be instead of making one, once the waiting is over(its a really short wait compared to how long skulltag takes to update); i'm guessing Frostbite was the winner.

Still would have loved to know how it looks and is named. Altrough my first post probaly had some usefull names in case it after all was a tactic to get names. :P
Hmm... Its damn hard to find an suitable name, though.
Oh well, i'll wait till the release and upon release probaly point out each (probaly human specific) flaws and /or annoyances. :P

Uhh, lets see... Necro, Gooper, uhh... Already out of idea's.
Maybe i'll edit the post if i ever get any more idea's, rather difficult to think of anything related to ghouls and ice that has an o in it. Its gonna be VERY difficult if he made the name by mashing the keyboard, like was done for Sjas.

The Ghoul's Forest / Re: Who's that Ghoulymon?!
« on: October 12, 2009, 07:04:55 PM »
I gave it good thought before posting. :P
Then again, other then ruthless spamming of the Jitterskull attack i give anything else a good thought. But yeah, there's kinda much options, even when it comes to ice-related things, a ghoul could be named anything, who'd ever guess Sjas would end up being named Sjas if he made a poll for Sjas instead? But now i'm all out of juice when it comes to names, for now.

Hmm... Cant think of much myself, perhaps something like Geist or Glacier? Or perhaps for the sake of it having ice breath, he's called Breath?
