I've seen a few other people playing as Sparkman today, and how did they get around this?  They try to spam the altfire.  How well does that work for them?  Absolutely poorly.

Another tried fighting a Hardman with Spark's mainfire.  The Hardman had a much easier time landing hits than the Spark.  That's a scary thought really, taking in all the factors.

Edit:  Check out my join time and my post count

I'm only gonna say this once: Sparkman kinda sucks.

Why?  Not the alt.  Not because of the delay between mainfire shots.  I'm talking about the delay before the first shot.

2 scenarios:
Old Sparkman: "I'll keep on a firing my spark shots no matter what and you can't do anything about it lolololol"
New Sparkman: "Oh look its a Skullman, I'll shoot it while its clo- nope, already gone.  Maybe I'll get the Proto- Nope.  Or That Starman- no."

Let's looks at other classes that have delays before their shots.  Needleman is the most notable:  His delay is longer than Spark's, but grants an exponentially better stream of attack.  Flashman also has a delay about as long as sparks:  However, it is a one time, and allows a steady stream of fire afterwards.  Though this fire is arguably weaker and shorter range, the allowance of so much fire is so much more useful.

Now, if the delay between shots was not before the shot, and the delay were after each shot, then his mainfire would be more useful, while still not being spammy.  The first shot is key to Sparkman's success, and without it, he's somewhat screwed and UP.  A minor change, but I feel like it could help out the poor guy.

Projects & Creative / Re: Class based modification (POPULARITY CONTEST)

I've been a silent observer of this thread, and I'd be one more for the Jax bandwagon.  Musashi too seems good for it.

I'd be willing to test too, but my skype/skulltag simultaneous internet connection doesn't work well.  Not a coder, not a great idea guy here.  Just a balance helper.

But I'm pretty sure there's a 3rd person I missed that's much more fitting for the position

Mega Man Discussion / Megaman Musicians: Remixes and such
« on: September 07, 2011, 07:47:14 PM »
All right, I made this topic to highlight some good musicians that've done megaman related stuff.  Why?  Because of the OC ReMix release of the Megaman 9 remix album Back in Blue.  So, therefore I'll just go ahead and point out some notable remixers of Megaman.  Also, Back in Blue can be found here.  Listening to it as I write, good stuff.

Next up in line is the obvious group The Megas.  They've made a couple albums, including Get Equipped and Megatainment.  They've remixed most tracks in MM2, and several from Megaman 1.  I'll provide a song spoilered, and a link to their site.

Second is a different bunch, called the Protomen.  These aren't particularly remixes, but its a musical rendition of a world base (loosely) off of the Mega Man universe.  I'd recommend giving these songs a listen, it really tells one hell of a story.  Of course, here's a link to their site, which by default plays one of their, in my opinion, best songs.  Or, alternatively, a link to a youtube playlist featuring all of their songs in order of the events that take place.  To be honest, I had to read along with the lyrics to fully understand what was going on, but when doing that it was just one hell of a cool musical experience.

Third up is Vurez.  He's done some interesting stuff; he's done every robot master song from MM6, all whilst keeping in mind where that robot hails from.  Good stuff: He's done a few other mixes of note that are posted guess where? On his website here.  Also, here's his Knightman mix because why not?

Fourth is Joshua Morse.  He made a 9 track album by himself titled the Robot Master Museum, which features a remix from each game 1-8 and MM&B.  These mixes are good, and that's really all I have to say on the matter.  So therefore, obligatory link to the website as well as his Air Man mix.

Next up is E-tank.  He made a bunch of good MM10 mixes.  So here's a youtube channel and.. lets do the Wily boss music this time.
(click to show/hide)

Finally, there's Azell.  He remixed MM9 and 10, as well as a few other songs.  They're all right, some more than others, but I like some of his stuff so I thought he'd get a mention as well.  So, website here, and also lets go with his Hornet Man mix.

And that's that, this longish post is done.  Feel free to post any musicians of note too.  Also Disco Dan, your OC ReMix updating days will be missed.

and dreadful in TLMS,

Nah, LMS and TLMS Dive Missile's good, since you can weaken opponents that can't recover from far away, and take cover yourself.  Far more reliable in those modes.  Duel, not so much.

Pokemon Pinball for gameboy color.  My father still has high scores on that game that I can't beat.  And he stopped playing like 10 years ago.

As for others...
Simpson's Hit and Run, GCN
Yoshi's Island DS I haven't found people who've played this, its awesome!
Frogger 2, some PS1 adventure puzzle game
Crash Bash, PS1 as well as Crash Twinsanity for PS2  (And CTR but that's less obscure I think)
Ty the Tasmanian Tiger, PS2

Also,

Legend of Zelda, any version of any game minus Link to the Past.

Huh, I was gonna post Link to the Past as mine.

Also, Kirby's Epic Yarn.  CONSISTENT GOD MODE

I'd say games like CoD and stuff but apparently everyone here hates them so that defeats the purpose now

Anything Goes / Re: Cory Baxter taking OVER
« on: August 28, 2011, 10:45:01 PM »
You younguns and your Cory in the House takeover.  Back in mmmyyyy day, people were trying to get the japanese rom for pokemon black and white, and trying to get it to work. That was a fine time in which many people renamed the Cory in the House rom and uploaded it, giving people download links to it before the B & W rom made its debut on the internet.  And that wasn't even the beginning of the Cory epidemic, I tell you hwhat.  You crazy kids and your eccentric partying and hwhatnot, boy I tell you..

Actually, in my case, software users can't handle the high resource use of OpenGL.  Otherwise, my eyes probably wouldn't be able to grasp software.
