Depends on what you qualify as "crap". I myself find modern first person shooters to be all the same boring  and generic game play, and would much rather play the more fast paced, dodging projectiles style of an old school fps(My favorite is Doom). I love Mega Man games as well. So when Mega Man and Doom come together? Oh my, I think I'm in heaven.

On another note, Sprites don't age as horribly as models do. Just compare the early games like Final Fantasy 7 or Super Mario 64. Sprites still look way better, and always will be.

Not sure exactly where Cutty got the Steam Cannon, but I know that one of the contributions in the R667 Forums was the Coal cannon. If that isn't where Cutty found it, you can probably track down the sprites from there.

Edit: Now that I think about it and look, the Sawthrower can also be found there.

I don't think so. Part of the original ghouls charm comes from the fact they only have a front sprite. I'm sure some of the older GvH players know exactly how out of place the flying creeper(ravager) looked compared too the rest(on top of the fact it was the Wraithverge ghost).

They seem to lack the same...feel the official ghouls have. That Hot Head possible Face 2 if edited could probably pull it off though. Description wise, no. Think of something original. There was a thread for this already.

I would think normal arrows, nails or saws would go right through a ghost, but then that would make the engineer is beyond screwed once he's out of steam cannon ammo.

Also the grenades are pretty much the only way a Marine can effectively deal with a creeper, that or be lucky/good with the shot gun, but the grenades are for more efficient.

This also doesn't say anything about Chokes already awful time surviving all that hitscan, plasma, and other crap that flies at the poor guy.

...Choke has enough problems as it is with health without being weak to pretty much everything. Especially when he currently lacks any way to regain HP.... this entire idea is full of problems. What is this, GvH or Pokemon? Engineer used Nail gun on Sjas, it wasn't very effective.

Because I've been working with Cutty with GvH versions 3-7. However none of them were as good as V2, so we're now designing v8. v8 contains 13 new classes for each side, 128 maps and CTF Compatibility. It was supposed to be a surprise, but I got so annoyed I accidentally gave it away, whoops.
I meant Beta 8 obviously. I wrote that up in one minute, posted it and ran off to classes.

What is your resolution?
If it were to be 120, I say keep the same regeneration rate, if it's going to be 200, then it should be slower, or perhaps a delay before it starts regenerating back.

Go read what Mobius posted about thinking before you suggest class changes. Ontop of that, PLAY THE MOST UPDATE TO DATE VERSION FIRST.

Because we all know how much Ghouls need them arrows. Creepers sneaking up behind you and stabbing arrows in your ankles. Ouch, not a fun experience.

Frost Bite is fine. Also, Frost Bite is a play on words with Frostbite. Heatbite makes no damned sense in that regard. Just remember
FROST BITE'S PURPOSE IS TO RAPIDLY KILL OFF OR SCATTER CAMPING HUMANS IN TIGHT AREAS.

No, Frost Bite is rather useless without that alt fire. If I wanted to go in a chomping, I would use Jitterskull. Some people just need to learn to run away from the breath and not to camp in an area that allows for that breath to rip them apart.

Ignoring all that. The Mortal Conflict and The Impending Nightmare are SKULLTAG game modes, not Doom. Skulltag game modes contain Skulltag content, like the REGENERATION RUNE. In other words, it's not in Ultimate Doom or Doom 2 or any stock iwad.
