tip 1: never use up all the weapon energy you have forcing you to go collect more then you need. tip 2: if you have W tanks use them only when weapon energy is WAY low and when your in a giant fight. tip 3: find the most powerful weapon on the map youll be a pwning champ. final tip: dont waste ammo trying to hit a n00b that moves around alot just go kill a guy thats not a noob and who is sluggish and unaware. i hope that helped :)  please comment this is my first post

So a nOOb is someone who keeps moving during a match, and someone who is not a nOOb is sluggish and unaware?
This makes no sense at all.
Also, people are complaining about the Cutstuff community because of new people like you.
Keep your name calling to a minimum, and your posts relevant.  :ugeek:

Yeah, there are a lot of topics which detail this.
Quite frankly, it isn't something that people should really need telling in the first place.

The internet has too much love already (See: Redtube)

We need civility, respect, and common sense.

It's just the timing.
All of this happened in the span of an hour and a half.
Maybe I'm just unlucky, but it is in very poor taste.

In answer to your recommendation, Cutmanmike, I initially provided the server because there is a demand for fast weapons and there were no servers to facilitate it at the time. It attracted a lot of people, but I guess I'll either never host that again, or get rid of drill bombs somehow.

I hosted a server for the first time a few days ago, and I have to say that it was a depressing experience. Within a half-hour, some newbie jackass rudely complained to me about weapon switch slowness. When I told him that I didn't know why it was happening or how to fix it, he refused to drop the subject. In the very next map, he called me "pathetic" for using search snakes. I felt I had no choice but to ban him. Hours later, we were all playing Skull Man's level. This was fast weapons mode, so one cannot use drill bombs for fear of the server crashing. Yellow Devil crashed my server on purpose by using drill bombs. I asked him about it later, and he told me that it was, "so much fun".

So, yeah. I thought that the community was pretty good before I hosted a server.
Now I am extremely reluctant to do it again.

Far from endorsing an all Gravity Man Tournament, I would prefer him removed from classes altogether.
But that's simply my opinion.

Can you battle with other people?
How similar is it to the other games?

Those really exist?
I thought they were just virus traps.
(No Battle Network reference intended)

I enjoy community. I joined last November, and its probably the only community I've been that I REALLY liked. MM8BDM is fun, the community is filled with fun people, and things are always getting done. Sure, there are a lot of bad eggs and trolls around, but there's no reason to be so pessimistic. I am aware that there are a lot of annoying people around, but I don't care! I just hang out with the fun people and everything works just fine.

If you think the community is being bad, try and help it. That's what I do.
If there's a new person around the community and he feels intimidated by the older members, I go and help him out. Show him how things work, give him tips on how to play the game and just be his friend.
If there's a troll going around harassing people, just ignore it. No sense in trying to reason with it.
If some sort of fight in general is going on amongst the members, which is happening more frequently lately, I sit back and observe. I'll toss in my opinion if I feel that it matters. If I don't have an opinion, I just stay out of it. If its involving a close friend or sibling, I will probably get involved either way.

My outlook on the community is positive. Sure, it has its bad points, but every community does. You can't be perfect, so why worry?

I only meant that, even if 1/1000 people were unlikable in the community, if the number of people increases, the number of unlikable people increases. In this case, 2/2000 or 10/10000. I didn't mean to sound pessimistic.

Gravity Man has to have Gravity Hold.  He wouldn't be Gravity Man without it.  However, I'll probably either increase down time between blasts, reduce the radius of effect, or a combination of both.

It seems the only way around this would be to get rid of Gravity Man.
After all, would it be a big loss?
There would be one less RM accounted for, but Gravity Hold will suck no matter how you do it.
I would even stake the opinion that MM8BDM would be a much better game if it didn't have gravity hold at all.
Not only is it notorious for bad sportsmanship, it also sucks all of the fun right out of the room.

It's your call in the end, but I think that your class system will really suffer from this.

Some people, including a few people who have been here from the beginning, have a bad attitude.
Others do not.
Frankly, I always try to keep things cheery and respectful in game.
For this, I am almost always treated in kind.
Big groups can be a problem only because, as a community increases, the amount of people who are unlikable increases.
In summation, things still seem pretty good.
The people who play the game with the sole objective of winning still are concerned with who is better, and the majority of people still don't care.
It's that simple.

Thank you so much for this, I couldn't have hosted a server without it!
