I'm not in this tourney but I'd just like to ask for clarification on something that hasn't been mentioned.

In the internal MM8BDM hosting application (I think this is some form of IDE) the default skill when hosting a server is set to Nightmare. Will this Duel tournament be hosted on the Nightmare skill? Although this skill level is typically associated with single player and cooperative games because of the presence of faster and respawning monsters, it has a very real implication here in that all weapon energy pickups will give double ammo.

I'd encourage you to set a rule where hosts will use skill levels other than "I'm too young to die" or "Nightmare" which both award double ammo from weapon energy pickups. Of course it's up to you, but getting double ammo makes small weapon energy pickups fill basically half your weapon energy bar... not too much skill involved there.

You really should strictly define DMFlags/ DMFlags2/ etc for this, for the sake of consistency.

Software. It looks much better to me.

I dislike how greens look and how everything looks like a paper cutout on OpenGL. For Doom and other Skulltag IWADs I use OpenGL and if MM8BDM used lighting I'd probably use it, but software is my preferred choice for MM8BDM at present time.

I like the extended classes.

Corvus' taunt sounds like he's getting kicked in the nuts though... the current Mage class taunt is a better fit for Corvus than what he has now because the sound was from his game.

Yurei's screen element is weird when you die. It sort of shifts the whole screen down or something and doesn't look right.

As for the poll, I voted "possibly". The extended classes are fun.

There's a reason people don't play Skull Tag much. It's basically just CTF.

You're better off just putting effort into CTF maps, since there's already an infrastructure in place (read: flag sprites etc).

Now, if you had some idea to change the Skull Tag mode in some way then it might be interesting. Perhaps something that involves skulls and tagging.

How do I change the default Game Configuration when opening a .wad file?

After configuring Doom Builder for all the various id tech 1 IWAD game assets I notice that whenever loading a map it tries to load it in Hexen mode. I'm aware that we need use set it to Skulltag (Doom in Hexen mode) but how to make this the default Game Configuration?
