Give me a cheeseburger and I will give you life

In all seriousness though I love general meat-based foods and pasta and vegetables and egg stuff and holy hell I like a lot of food archetypes

except fruit
I'm actually not a huge fruit guy

So, what, you're adding an independent group?  It's been done plenty of times.

oh boy it's update time

Name: I change it a lot-- currently it's Reli Kirona, but usually any one of my submissions in the catalog is fair game.  My default is Thunderono.
Preferred stock skin: Tends to correspond to the name in some way-- it's Yamato Man right now, but under the Thunderono name it's always Spark Man.
Favorite game mode: Light vs. Wily, Deathmatch, SHR++
Least favorite game mode: Duel, any classes, Unholy

Favorite weapon: I'd say Oil Slider, but it's generally not worth the backlash these days.  I think I enjoy Tengu Blade the most.
Least favorite weapon: FLASH STOPPER
Weapons I'm good with: Tengu Blade, Oil Slider, Drill Bomb
Weapons I'm bad with: Atomic Fire, Astro Crush, Noise Crush, Remote Mine

Favorite upgrade: Tossup between Laser Buster and Duo Fist
Least favorite upgrade: Bass Buster
Favorite stock map: MM4DRI
Least favorite stock map: MM4DIV
Favorite custom map: I don't really have enough experience to judge this fairly-- I guess JAM18?
Least favorite custom map: Anything from BME, but if you want me to judge an actual map I'll agree with Freeman on that stupid kentucky map
Favorite class: (YD) Oil Man, (JC) Heat Man

Greatest Rivals: Llamahombre, Gumballtoid, chuggafan1
Reputation: The one really annoying guy with oil slider
Anything else?: Why is genocide bad?

Cherry's seen two bandwagons against him and still lives.  Hell, the crossfire managed to kill a sage.  I'm pretty tired right now so excuse me if this suddenly became a dumb move but I'm with Lego when I +vote Cherry.

I didn't like Isaac's reasoning for voting beed-- he wanted to kill beed but tied the vote with his and saved Cherry.  Don't really know if I want to vote cherry right now but the inconsistency bothered me.  Also I typed this from mobile so I kept it mostly concise-- if anybody wants me to elaborate let me know

+vote Isaac

I don't really want to vote on the first day but the idea of somebody dying due to only one person voting kind of irks me
dunno what KD's doing with the cold fusion votes but I'll try to neutralize things with a vote
+vote Cherry

[9:40:09 PM] Dr. Freeman: So I just realized I need thunder to reveal tomorrow
[9:40:14 PM] Dr. Freeman: Cause I have things tomorrow morning
[9:40:18 PM] Dr. Freeman: =////////////////////////////////

-----------

"And that's a wrap!  Congratulations to contestant number seven for eating exactly... nine pies in the span of four minutes!  Step right over here and we'll give you your prize.  You can get up, right?"

The sun shone brightly over a park in western Sheillo, where a small fair was being held.  Stalls, set up as far as the eye can see, offered food and games to the occupants of the park.  Laughter and general commotion could be heard from every direction.  In the very center of the fair was a medium sized stage with a table seating ten very distraught people.  The peppy announcer spoke up again.

"And that's a wrap for the speed eating competition!  You all head home and get some rest.  Maybe see a doctor.  If any of you need one, we've got some ambulances on standby just over by the dunk tank.  Anyway, for all you people in the audience, don't go anywhere just yet!  The baking competition is about to start!"

Backstage, OrangeMario stood nervously.  Hands shaking, he attempted to stabilize himself with a nearby wall.

"Man, I knew this was a bad idea.  I don't BAKE, I sell fruit!  What am I gonna do?"

Malia appeared from a nearby water bottle sitting on a table, startling the spooked salesman.  She proceeded to pick up the bottle and take a sip before walking over to OrangeMario.

"Relax, you'll do fine.  You're certainly more competent with food than most of us, at any rate.  Just calm down and you'll be okay."

"But they're saying some whiz at cooking is coming to this!  I can barely handle a pan, and this lady can cook in her sleep!"

"Just because somebody else is good at cooking doesn't make you bad.  I know you'll do great as long as you do your best."

"I'm just saying, I don't like this.  I don't like this at a-"

OrangeMario was cut off by the arrival of a man holding a clipboard, an expression of boredom ever plastered on his face.  The man seemed glued to his clipboard, not acknowledging the other occupants until OrangeMario cleared his throat.  He gave him a blank stare for a few seconds before finally speaking.

"Mr. Mario, I presume?  You're up."

OrangeMario shot Malia a worried glance before shakily entering the stage area, where a young woman with an apron had already set up shop.  Stoves, ovens, cutting boards, and other miscellaneous cooking equipment littered the stage.  The woman cast a glance in his direction and moved to converse.

"You okay?  You look nervous.  Here, have a cookie.  It'll calm your nerves a little."

OrangeMario looked warily at the little cinnamon cookie presented to him before giving the lady an odd look.

"...Huh?"

(click to show/hide)

Before he could accept the gift, the announcer tested the microphone, causing very loud feedback to erupt from the speakers posted around the stage.  The unexpected sound startled Cookie into dropping the treat, breaking into many tiny pieces upon impact.  She looked up apologetically before returning to her post.

"Alright all you people, welcome back!  We're back with today's big event, the bake-off!  To the cooks, your objective right now is to bake the best pie you possibly can.  We'd have you make something else, but all our pies just got eaten!  Ha!  Ahah!  Ha... anyway.  We'll be happily judging your pies in ten minutes.  And... begin!"

The two on stage scurried about their stations.  OrangeMario was in the middle of preparing an apple pie when he looked over and saw Cookie already placing a pie into her oven.  Before the oven had a chance to warm up, however, she was already preparing to bake another pie!  This only served to energize OrangeMario, determined to finish his concoction before his time was up.  When the time ran out, the two went to present their desserts to the judges.

OrangeMario delicately slip his pie onto the judges' table, the occupants wasting no time in preparing to eat.  Slices were distributed and the judges chowed down, giving general contented noises.  When the finally finished, the middle judge spoke to the fruity man,  "Not bad!  I'd say this is actually pretty good!  You did a good job on this one."

OrangeMario sighed a sigh of relief.  "Really?  Thanks!"

When Cookie's turn came around, she apologized for the double presence of pies.  "I couldn't decide between key lime and blueberry.  Is it okay if I submit two?"

"Not at all."

The judges ravenously tore into the confectionery, leaving the tins empty in seconds.

"...This is the best thing I've ever tasted!"

-----------

I apologize for the comparative length of this reveal, but I just couldn't convey things so concisely here.  Anyway, it's feedback time!

I fully expect some sort of confusion as to why we chose Cookie when OrangeMario was already in as a food-based class.  I actually felt that way when we were initially going over the class.  However, Freeman brought it to our attention that Cookie would be easier to create an offensive moveset for, rather than the support-based theme OM got.  This was actually a godsend, as we received a TON of submissions involving support moves.  Coupled with the fact that OrangeMario was a fruit-based class rather than a general food themed one, we felt as if we could differentiate Cookie enough to justify her presence.

SURPRISE IT'S ME

So Freeman had me write this reveal for reasons that I forget but who cares let's go

----

“Uh… is this it?  I kind of expected more.”

“Just give it a second!  These kinds of things take a while, I’ll have you know.”

Labada and a man in a gardener’s outfit stood hunched over a small table centered in a greenhouse.  On the table was a small pot filled with dirt and a single green seed.  The gardener stared intently at the seed, as if willing it to grow.  Labada turned to Jman.

“I don’t know what we were expecting.  This guy’s clearly full of crap.  ‘The fastest growing plants around,’ he said.  Should’ve known it was a hoax.  C’mon, let’s go.”

Labada turned to use the door but was stopped by Caprice, a defiant :< on his monitor.  The gardener spoke up.

“Well, yes, I’ll concede that this particular plant may not be growing at the rate you may wish it to.  But that’s because I haven’t watered it yet!”  With that, he pulled out a bottle of greenish-clear liquid and poured it into a watering can, which he then sprinkled onto the flora in front of him.  In an instant, a small bud popped up where the seed was.

“Haha, yes!  It works!  With this, I could revolutionize the growth industry!  World hunger will be ended forever!  They’ll look upon me as a hero!  They’ll-“
A low rumbling came from the pot, drawing the attention of the party to the now quivering bud.  Suddenly, a massive rose erupted from the bud, vines spreading across the room.  As if they were alive, the vines wrapped themselves around Labada and flung him across the room.

“Oh.  Or, uh, it could just make monster plants.  Heh, he’s like my son!  I’ll name him Jimmy!  I suppose nobody will be calling me a hero with this kind of thing around, though.  Hmph.”

Labada let out a yell from across the room, where “Jimmy” was now conducting another assault.  “I get that you’re excited, but could you call this thing off?  Like, now?”

The action was not necessary, however, as the rose shriveled up before disintegrating entirely, leaving but a few petals behind.  The group looked on disappointedly before the gardener spoke up.

“Er, well.  That may not have been ENTIRELY according to plan, but, uh, it grew!  So, there’s that.”

“You crazy bastard!  Your plant just tried to kill me!”

“I will refine the formula when I get the opportunity.  I know this is a bit sudden, but, er, I actually do not have a place to stay anymore.  I DID stay here, but…”  He looked around mournfully at the destruction caused by Jimmy to the greenhouse.  “I would be willing to say this is no longer suitable.  If you will, may I stay with one of you?  I can pay whatever you need.”

Instantly, Caprice jumped up and raised his hand, displaying on his monitor a vibrant :o.  Before any more action could be taken, however, Jman spoke up.
“I understand that you need a place to live and all, but you haven’t even told us your name yet.”

“Oh!  Well…”

So Freeman hasn't done this for any of the other reveals and that kind of upsets me but you can rely on the fact that whenever I do a reveal I'll post an explanation as to WHY we chose that entry.

So admittedly, Galactan's submission was initially bland.  There wasn't much new added to an existing concept, leaving it in the "generic" section of our tier list.  (Yes, we have a tier list.)

but then he updated it a bit

Suddenly we've got a gardener to work with, which provides a lot more freedom.  For what should be obvious reasons, I won't be posting EXACTLY what we have planned for ol' Muza, but we were pretty much instantly able to determine that this new class was workable and interesting, all while still offering room for creativity.  And at the end of the day, that's really what we were looking for.  Creative classes that made their best attempt to deviate from the norm to get an interesting twist on an existing concept.

dunno what we're doing in terms of feedback on C-Foam and Malia but I really want to give my reasoning for those two here at some point

I wouldn't say "underappreciated," but Amazing Mirror was pretty good.  I was pretty young on my first playthrough, and everything just seemed so surreal about it.  I've got particularly fond memories of those cannons you need to light the fuse of to get them working.

You know, I actually have Amazing Mirror on my 3DS.  One of these days, I should do another playthrough.

I just had a rather... unpleasant chat regarding this whole situation with Dave, and I feel it's time this were ended.

Dave did not read the front post.  Due to this, Dave's original class did not follow the template, so Freeman asked him to rewrite it so that it did.  While the revised version DID follow the template, it still failed to acknowledge the existence of the second rule.  Dave has since disregarded this rule under the excuse of the fact that they had agreed upon the class two months in advance, which is a fair point.  However, as Freeman stated, the rules have changed since then and Dave failed to read the first post in order to respond.

so the moral of the story is read the front post
