I don't think Duel is a good idea because it can also depend on luck. Who will be the first to reach the weapon that will decide the match? *coughtimestoppercough*

I prefer a 1 on 1 LMS, which forces players to consider what choices they get with the weapons they are provided, plus it puts weapons like Gravity Hold out of the equation.

That might work out a little better, actually. If someone came at you with gravity hold, it'd be too frustrating to fight against them while you're being thrown every which way.

I know how ya feel. Lag likes to jump out at me at random times, if it's not warping people around.

Have you tried playing with 250+ ms, though? Your screen warps maybe half of the time ahead, even though you don't actually warp. This can make navigating the courses harder. And when you do fire, it actually fires about a second or more later. I still wonder how asd manages to do it.

Yes I have. That caused me oh so much trouble. Especially in Flashman's stage, which is kinda cramped. Easy target.

YOU were the Ultimate Chimara? Really?

How ironic. XD

Actually, I was having a lot of lag that day (250+ ms), and my close swipes didn't register. Otherwise, Kapus wouldn't have stood a chance that round.

Yeah, yeah. We've heard that one a million times before. =P

Just imagine this thing chasing you throughout the entire level with a gaping mouth.

That thing's mouth is, in fact, huge. It's like some sort of overgrown gory mouse trap.

Holy freaking Crap! You can get MINUS Ping!?

So, what, how does this work? Has it gone so far back that the game is running so smoothly it's like real time motion or did it go so far forward that it just broke?

I'm pretty sure you can't just sort people into an unbiased tier list like that.

Why not and do you have a better method?
Well, for one thing, we're all people. It's not like, say, a fighting game, where each character has set attributes that you can measure against each other. A person's skill can increase as they practice or decrease as they get rusty.

Not to mention you have to define skill. Is it just who gets the most frags? How good you are at avoiding being fragged? Camping?
What about other gametypes, like CTF?
Then there are other factors, like lag spikes, and just plain old luck. Sometimes people just have off days.

I dunno...while it's true that some players are better than others, I don't think it's something you can boil down to a science so easily.

And once again, another thing I have to agree with.

Why? So we can have an unbiased standing. I am talking about an official top 25. If you let a veteran pick, you're doing the exact opposite of what you want and you allow one player's bias to shape the standings. All we have to do is announce a deathmatch tournament, invite all who wish to participate and arrange the tournament based on how many want to play in it. We go a few rounds, have a scorekeeper who tallies up kills throughout the entire course and they post the results here. That will give us concrete evidence to base an official top 25 on. A new tournament is held every so often to update the top 25 so that we don't always have inactive players on the list.

Which gives me another idea. Challenges for ranking. Players may challenge ranked players in a duel for the right to take their rank. Witnesses will need to confirm the results unless both players report the same result. If the lower-rank player wins, they switch ranks, meaning the higher-rank might drop out of the standings. If the higher-rank player wins, nothing changes. We might discuss how often one may challenge for rank. If people like this idea, we'll talk what arenas are suitable and the universal rules for ranked duels.

I think, this is a good idea. Would the scores both include frags and victories? Or just one of the two?

I got a screenshot of that too. Two of them to be exact.

Is that NOT scary?

Yeah, Kapus beat me to the Zombie Chimara screenshot. (good reason too) but still. That thing's frightening. When I first saw the Ultimate Chimara in the game was also pretty scary. I was just standing around in Dustman's stage, waiting for the 10 second intermission to end. And at the last second, The Ultimate Chimara came flying out of nowhere with him mouth gaping open and almost chomped someone. He only didn't because the intermission ended. I was like " ........"

Also, another screenshot.

Looks like I'm tied for 15th!
...which is also tied for last, unfortunately.

And just a reminder, I'm also Akintunde.

I'd vote for myself, but I'd rather not sound arrogant so I'll see what other people think of me.

For my first three votes, I say Celebi, Jafar, and...hmm...I don't know who my third vote will go to. I'm voting Celebi because, well, Is that even a question? She's freaking hard. And Jafar? He's beatable. but he's pulled off some amazing stunts. In roboenza, Zombies rarely ever win in Flame Man's stage when people have flame blast and other deadly. He managed to pull that off as the lead zombie. And again, in Gyro Man's stage, where Zombie's usually die off in the first 10 seconds if your lucky, he came out victorious. A clever guy, never let your guard down around him.

I'll have to play more and see who gets my third vote.

People were randomly getting over 3,000 ping. Highest I saw was like 4,589 or something. (Doesn't beat that one screenshot of someone having over 10,000 ping. I think I've even seen someone with like 20,000, too.)

He was most likely having one of those moments.

Seriously, At times he will fail it, badly. Other times..Oh, you can't even touch the guy.

Also, He plays as a few other characters. Although lately I've only seen him as Roll or Angel Girl. :|
