The GB tilesets are similar, but not exactly the same. Snakeman's stage takes place in a jungle, and Skullman has these glowing electric bones in some areas of his stage, for instance.

I guess I should apologize for making such a ridiculous amount of Touhou skins? :L

Anyway, I'm too tired to make a more detailed post, but yeah, overhyped, oversaturated, insane fanbase with insane memes, but I still find some aspects of the series enjoyable. (Mainly the whimsical cast of characters)

It's just a skin, don't get so worked up. I made Utsuho because my other projects were on another computer, she's one of my favorite characters, and (no offense to Lightdasher) I don't think the older skin did her justice.
But the bottom line is, I made her because I wanted to. As I said before, I take requests as suggestions, and consider taking them up, but I'm not taking up every request people send me, and I see no reason to make a skin of a character I don't care about in the slightest.

If you want to take up spriting and give it a shot, be my guest. You can even use my sprites as  a guide if you want.
It's good to learn to make your own content when you have a hard time finding someone to take on your requests.

But, I still kinda find it odd how now we have two skins of the same exact character.

Did you not notice when I made Reisen, Reimu, and two Marisas? :P
Maybe it does make things cluttered, but at least I made sure there's no conflicts between my versions and the older ones, so they both can be used without one overriding the other.

Well, I've been finding it harder to get motivated for spriting lately. I have kind of a list of characters I'd like to make, and I've already dropped some characters from it. And as I said, I'd like to make some more non-Touhou characters. It's not the only game series I like, after all. (I'm not even as big a Touhou fan as I probably appear to be... :P)

Orange will probably be my last PC-98 skin, though. There aren't many more Touhou characters I plan to make, and I'm not even sure if I'll finish all the one's I'd like to. Plus, I'd like to make some more non-Touhou things...I don't just want to be known as "The Other Lightdasher", or something. :P
Shinki is a very small maybe. Like, smaller than this font.

Doesn't Touhou Mother use MIDIs for its soundtrack? You could cut down on the filesize by just using the original MIDIs instead of recording them as MP3s.
Also, the MP3s don't seem to be looped efficiently.  Heavy Kisume's theme loops at 1:03, but your MP3 has it repeating for more than 8 minutes. I'd suggest using Audacity to cut songs down to just one or two loops, then saving them as OGG files.
