MM8BDM Discussion / Re: The Unofficial Top-25 Players List
« on: January 01, 2011, 03:09:49 AM »
I sorta agree with mrjnumber1. Just a little though. Everyone has their ups and downs, and nobody's perfect. I mean, the list was a good idea, I just don't want this to get carried away to something rediculus. Hell, as long as this doesn't become like "OMG this Players teh best and everyone else sucks11!!1!!" or "OMG this playrs not on the list so he has to suck!", I'm okay with it. I'm just glad cutmanmike made this game, as it is awesome and has a lot of variety. Although mrjnumber1, you ARE kinda reacting a bit to much. No offence.

Mega Man Discussion / Re: Rockman 8 FC 2.86b is out!

Version 2.87 is now out. You can now fight all the bosses (minibosses included) in an endless fight. Just played it, and let mee say, they reeaally buffed up a few bosses. Especially Aquaman >.<. Also, they FINALLY added the classic Wily-wiggles-his-eyebrow part XD.

MM8BDM Discussion / Re: Camping
« on: December 31, 2010, 04:38:49 AM »
Camping is okay. It's usually a great place to start during a match, and all the spots usually have an Achilles heel. I've gotten people in pretty much every hiding spot except Metal Man's as I don't have OpenGL :| . Even the tougher camping spots in stages such as Hardman can be snuffed out with the right knowledge and stealth. The only safespot I don't like AT ALL is the one in Quickman's stage, near the yashishi :.

Might as well vote. I'll be voting for myself, celebi, and kapus. I'm pretty decent at this game, and absolutely evil as a zombie, so might as well see  what people think of me. It's funny, cause I usually suck at First Person Shooters XD

Edit: Kapus is GOD when he is the last survivor, and celebi is just awesome in general.

Cool, nice to see another person from CT. Still don't know why I've gotten loads of ping on your server, Messatsu.

Yeah, that snowstorm was baaaaaadddd. I'm not surprised if the servers were down. I wouldn't have known on that day, as I was suffering from 12 hours without power .  Even still, my ping rose from the usual 50s to 300, so yeah, that snowstorm packed a wallop.  :(

Edit: And yeah, I live in the Northeast.

*You find a videotape in Bass Colisseum. Curious, you decide to play the tape.*

"Don't stop me now! I'm havin such a good time, I'm havin a ba-" *music stops*

Sorry about that, I tend to get bored while surviving this zombie apocalypse.

Anyways, Enker here again. I just recently caught up with an old friend, Elec Man. Man, when I remember when we had to work together in Wily's so-called revenge against Mega Man, those were the days. Dr. Light was also with this group and a couple of humans that were described in one of Elec Man audiotapes he made. After being shut down and reprogrammed NOT to attack Mega Man (Due to Wily's stupid programming forcing me to due so) I joined the group. But enough of that. Now for some survival tips that I've learned along the way.

Use your terrain to your advantage. Zombies apparently don't like high places. High places are great for survivors, as it takes a while for a zombie to get to you. With a shield weapon such as Star Crash- zombies will never touch you.

Try to find a place that you can see all sides around you, as you will lessen the chance of being ninja'd from behind by a zombie. Being ninja'd by a zombie is a feared tactic, as you really can't see behind you and they'll get you by surprise.

Try not to be out in the open. You have more sides to watch out for, Zombies can easily spot you, and gang up on you. Both Gutsman stage and Cutman's are noctorius for this, as both stages are too open. Best to stay near a corner or a high place.

Finally, AVOID TELEPORTERS LIKE THE PLAGUE. I've seen so many survivors go into a teleporter and get "telefragged" by a zombie or a nearby survivor. I've also seen people use "that weapon" to trap Zombies, and I've seen survivor's trapped instead of zombies. Zombies also LOVE to camp near teleporters, infecting anyone who uses it. Best to avoid them and seek an alternate route.

Best be off now. Light's gonna see if he can find something to help with the roboenza cure, as to check if Wily installed any software on me to combat this plague.

Until then, I'm off.

I am from Connecticut, and I usually get 50-70 ping. Recently I have gotten 200-300 ping for some unknown reason.

Edit: T'was the big snowstorm we had in the Northeast. That was the reason.

Fixed the Cutmanmike page and removed what the spammer/troll placed on it. Yeah, apparently he was spamming the user skin page and put some other crap on Skulltag and the Cutmanmike pages.

Edit: Also fixed some of the damage amounts on the Weapons page.

Testing... testing... 1,2,3... Oh it works!
Hey everyone, is this loud and clear? good. It's Enker, fellow Megaman Killer of Wily. Or I would be, if Megaman wasn't already infected and Wily used my fellow Killers as "experiments" for his virus. *shudders* Amazing how one virus made from my creator has done what he couldn't... Anyways, I have escaped and I'm hanging out with some of the survivng Wily bots in Mr. X's old tower, trying to- Excuse me for one moment...
(multiple Crash Bombs, Water Waves and explosions are heard.)
OK, I'm back. During this hell of an outbreak, I've been reading journals and diaries about surviving the outbreak, and decided to say some tips.

Never rush at the head zombie. You will likely become infected and will make the so-called "starter's zombie's" life easier. Good weapons to use against the "starter" are long distance weapons, like Ballade Cracker or Screw Crusher.

Boomerang weapons are extremely useful against zombies. If at the right distance, you can end a infected's life easily. Good examples are Rolling Cutters and Knight Crush and Quick Boomerang.

Always be on the move. Due to my master's programming, I was programmed to move erratically, which has helped to avoid some zombies and to escape some terrifying situations. Also remember to assume that safespots are not always safe and always remember to have a plan B. I've seen places in Crash Man's and Stone Mans stages that although seemed safe, robots still have gotten infected due to smart zombies. Honestly, I'm appalled at their intelligence. This "camping" strategy is also helpful, but be prepared to bail out and ALWAYS WATCH YOUR BACK. I seen so many unsuspecting survivors "ninja'd" by zombies sneaking up on them, getting them infected and to add to the plague.

The last strategy I have to give is to use weapons accurately. Don't spam weapons all the time, wasting your WE, try to make your shots as accurate as possible, and make sure to use the knockback to your advantage. Quick Boomerang is incredably useful for this as said in another journal, it tends to push zombies back and away from you, and can kill if used correctly.
Well damn, looks like the group I'm in has been infected, but luckily I have skull barrier with a couple of W-tanks in tow. Good luck to those who find this!
Enker, Logging out!
