A few questions with MM8BDM
« on: October 19, 2010, 06:13:49 AM »
First of all, I'd like to say thank you very much CutManMike and your team for putting the hours to create something like this. It is great to see this project finished, and so far I am loving it!

Just two issues so far though:

1. How do you save game in single player?
I know you can't save during gameplay, but is there a way to return to Dr. Light's lab to save game (which I haven't realised yet?)

2. Some stages lag at times.
Usually long stages when you can see really far ahead. Is this either the Skulltag engine doing its best to keep up, or is my old computer really a piece of crap? lol.

If there's any other issue i'll post it here, but thank you for listening, and I can't wait to play some more later today.  :)

Cheers!

The game auto saves after each chapter.  Press strafe right/left to change chapters right or left.

Ahh thanks, I guess I didn't push the right buttons when I played again.

As for the lag, I realised I had other stuff open when playing, so when I closed them, it didn't lag as much. It's long open stages like Ice Man's that have this issue. At least it's fine now, because it went almost unplayable one time.

I'm up the the Wily Hideout for MM1. It's pretty challenging, but I love it.  :D

Ok, I tried it and it doesn't work.  :?

I exit the game and come back in, but when I come back in it says the other levels are unavailable. It doesn't replay the intro with Dr. Light talking though, but yeah, doesn't let me choose any level i've unlocked, it goes back to Cut Man's.

Do I have to beat a certain amount of levels? Or do I need to make a specific directory to save game?

Thanks.

You gotta beat all the Robot Masters, then the boss, and then the game saves.

Quite hard to beat the game with hard AI, but you must do it in one sit.

No I haven't yet actually. I got up to Wily hideout last time.
Do I have to beat an entire game (ie in this case MM1) for it to save? (beating boss means beating game I'm guessing?).
And why can't I type in a password?   lol.

Thanks for spoilering Yellow Devil.

Yes, you must beat:

-All 6 robot masters.
-Defeat the robot masters on Wily's Hideout 1 and 2.
-Beat the boss, the Yellow Devil.

Oh wow, I gotta put my game face on next time I play. Thanks for letting me know though.  :)
When you say robot masters on Wily hideout 1 and 2, you mean the bots, not the original six as bosses? And yeah, thanks for spoiling the boss Yellow Devil. For that, I'm going to do a bastard thing and use the pause-trick on you, lol.

... or at least just Thunder Beam.  :p

That battle was awesome.

DocRobots are just way too annoying, I mean, they are on crack and have infinite ammo.
